It's funny that people call Ron Paul crazy. He got Mitt Romney to be against the Federal Reserve along with some other candidates. That was an idea that was deemed crazy at one time but as soon as anyone but Ron Paul supports it it's not crazy anymore. I suppose spending 30 years in Congress makes you an outsider. Being an outsider is not a qualification for a position requiring experience. Barry Goldwater was a senator, Reagan was a governor etc. Congressmen are privy to matters of national security (like the operations of the CIA and all government bureaucracies). The GOP controlled congress from 1995 to 2007. Paul was privy to what was going on then. If he wasn't then he wasn't doing his job as a United States Congressman.

I suppose spending 30 years in Congress makes you an outsider. Being an outsider is not a qualification for a position requiring experience. Barry Goldwater was a senator, Reagan was a governor etc. Congressmen are privy to matters of national security (like the operations of the CIA and all government bureaucracies). The GOP controlled congress from 1995 to 2007. Paul was privy to what was going on then. If he wasn't then he wasn't doing his job as a United States Congressman.

You want an elite group of banks and corporations buying your politicians and media and exploiting them for private interest. @gulbirk Democracy fails. We were never meant to be a democracy nor should we ever be a democracy. We are a Constitutional republic and the moment we start believing that we are a democracy, and that socialism is the only way to "protect" people, freedom will die and so will the rights that people are afraid they will lose. I highly recommend watching Milton Friedman or even learning from Adam Smith, the founder of Economics. True geniuses who address your very concern.
