  • @FluxRostrum Coal rules

  • @wturner0018 coal sucks

    coal is evil

  • This video sucks and this womans voice is terrible...If it wasn't for our Coal Severance Tax these hippies wouldn't get a check every month...

  • lmao what a tree hugging moron

  • this vid is a fuckin joke

  • you get jobs to buy cars and houses and education and much much more , without hill top removals you get to sit on your ass on benifits and put your kids in poverty ! vote in favour on coal mining

  • It takes only 7 people to remove a mountain top. This creates no jobs for the region. You benefit from superficially cheap energy to buy extra houses and cars you dont need. Mountain top removal creates poverty, but you probably don't care because you don't have to live with the polluted water and air everyday of your life.

  • @colossalist

This is a lie, the permitting process alone takes a massive amount of people and jobs. Then these areas have to be surveyed which requires jobs. After that the area has to be logged and cleared of trees which requires jobs. A surface spread then comes in to prep the land which is usually a 15 job crew. Once that is done a blasting crew of about 11 jobs come in. Then the actual production crew of about 15 jobs come in. Don't believe the hippies ask someone who works here.

  • @wturner0018 so your saying the mountain is worth ... a 100 part time jobs over the course of a couple years?

  • @FluxRostrum

The mountain is private land you moron its not yours its not mine. Jobs are important regardless of what you socialist think. The jobs are full time 60 hours a week jobs. Where do you work? Your like a virus living off of other people sucking the life out of America

  • @wturner0018 no. you just said that 10-15 loggers log, THEN 10-15 something does their part, THEN 10-15 something else does their part so on until the mountain is gone. by your own admission you're getting 10-15 jobs AT A TIME for a few years. WIND gives more jobs Forever. case closed fuck off you're militantly ignorant and impossible to discuss shit with. think what you want. I don't don't care about your future because You don't care about your future.

  • @FluxRostrum I care about my future thats why I am arguing with you. I am a mining engineering student and want to continue my work in coal.

  • @wturner0018 you're a student... so your future still has time to change into something renewable. If you want a future, that gives the rest of the planet a future.. study something sustainable CAUSE BY THE TIME YOU GRADUATE HOPEFULLY THERE WON"T BE ANY MORE COAL JOBS. that will really suck for you. learn something else please, I do want you to have a job.

  • @wturner0018 i want to be an engineer and im against this.

i care about my future very much as do you i am sure. but the fact remains you dont have to go to school were the only job you can get is a non renewable resource company.

although i have to say i am considering switching to enviromental law or somthing were i could advocate for justice for the people living in the shadow of these horrible mtr mines.

  • @wturner0018 oh its socialism to want clean air and water.

god you conservitives seem to use that as a crutch

anyone who disagrees with you is a comuinist or a socialist

if i talk about somthing they say thats socialist

    socilism is not comunism.

    comunism doesnt work.

socialism is any idea that benifits the public.

public schools are a socialist idea. todays society has a mixture of free market capitalism and democracy but socialist ideas are an integral part of that

    im sorry your so ignorant.

  • Very bad poetry

  • This has got to be the worst cry baby spokespeople Ive ever heard, wake up maybe you should live in Xanadu

  • you stubbornness is creating Chinese Jobs ... Thanks alot.

    ourfuture . org / blog-entry / 2009114502 / offshoring-wind-energy

  • So true 08marathon, but aren't they all cry babies, however I admit, the person reading the script is probably the queen of enviro-freak tree huggers anonymous.

MTR is a great way to renew our forests that are littered with dead tree branches that are a ticking time bomb for raging

forest fires. This person reading is a goon

if she honestly thinks that fires will rage

due to MTR. What an idiot, fires burn the

vegetation that is dead and alive but thrives on the underbrush & MTR

    removes it.

  • Apparently this FLUX PERSON IS A PROFESSION PROTESTER, IT APPEARS AT THE G-20 Pittsburgh, summit, I think these people will protest anything, I hope their aware that alot of the windmills are being made in China personally I think nuclear is the way to go, but my 2nd choice is coal. Can`t wait for next years election.

  • you are correct I am Anti-Profession.

    "~)

  • @08marathon So I take it, you are are anti-profession for big business which the coal companies are a part of?

Also, does that mean you don't have a job because a "profession" usually refers to a professional employment, usually requiring special training. Just wondered. Never heard of anti-profession before although I do know some people that live it, unless professional government hand-out taker is a profession too?

  • Not true about the fires that rage, mountain top removal prevents forest fires. God you tree huggers are so god damn stupid. Not one reclaimed mine site. Not one in all those videos. And is this chick on qualudes talking? If you dont like power then shut it off. If you dont want mining above you, then dont be so god damn greedy selling your land. Mining isnt killing the planet, dirty hippies are. People who live on a check, eat their cheese, and bitch and moan. The rest of us have to work

  • Liquid, the big idea isn't exactly, NO COAL, it's NO SURFACE MINING! There are other ways to mine that does not destroy change the ecosystem. You claim they stop forest fires? Forest fires are a NATURAL occurrence meant to fertilize the soil. Though you're right.. if there's no tree to burn, then it won't. If we did go to other energy methods we would STILL need jobs with people to maintain them. You'd realize this if you weren't so busy watching explosion videos on youtube to get off to.

  • Yes I have and there were more jobs involved than what I saw at kayford... there might have been 20 or so people working on that Flinstones Quarry when I saw it.

Choice is yours.. ya wanna be Fred Flintstone or George Jetson?

  • Have you ever been to a wind farm? Where are all the jobs ? The only thing I noticed were a few dead birds. Get your facts right before making a bigger idiot out of yourself on here. Learn how to spell.... sarcasm......

  • you people are crazy as hell.IF YOU ARE SO AGAINST COAL SHUT YOUR DAMN POWER OFF,SIMPLE ITS NOT A LAW TO HAVE IT.guarantee you wouldnt last long. you people need to get out of fairyland and in reality. its a free country dony like it buy yourselves some solar panels and windmills.START THE GAME IN YOUR COURT.untill then quit bitching. oh yea folloelamdove.you are a fucking idiot.united states probably keeps your sorry ass up.GO USA

  • yeah, usa, genocide, slavery, eugenics, war profiteering. yeah UHHmeriKKKA

  • USA are well known for smog, polluted water etc because Money is more important than a cool clear glass of water. Fucking yanks!

  • it's a global issue greed rules the planet not just america you fucking idiot.

  • im an american and i agree but u hear the narrator?? shes a u yank dumb limey fuck!!

  • wrong

  • hey man...well yeah

  • devastating isn't it. up close and more personal, a wound , threatening those who mine it, those close by, and the destruction of the environment, water, earth, the winds have no master. Obama gave ok for more MTR the other day. while he talks green alternatives at the same time, which are increasing & taking less time to convert jobs to them. There is no reason for MTR there are too many green alternatives that support green jobs as well as communities.

  • you also get ELECTRIC,JOBS,LAND THAT WAS ONCE USELESS,USEFULL.look you babbeling idiots. i dont know what planet you are from, but reality is,coal keeps us in jobs and affordable energy.without it,you wont be worrying about it anymore,it will be a ghost town. and those of you that think it wont affect you,it will.when your power bills triple, and nobody has a job to pay for it. think about it,be awful hard to afford that on your yellow check, untill thats gone cause nobdody is working to keep it up

  • you are very mistaken. MTR coal accounts for only about 7% of the coal being used in the US. This could be easily replaced with clean, safe perpetual wind power which creates more jobs now and more revenue forever.

There were maybe 12 workers on that site. woo hoo for jobs. *sarcaism

If you must have coal dig it out a cave like a man instead of endangering every man, woman and child in your community.

  • see user/iLoveMountainsOrg, pillbusa has it has 1 fav vid from their channel

Well I hate to see the destruction I loved to see the beauty. Beautifully done, the 2 opposites and the poem.
