  • This song was actually written for a Japanese Shampoo/Conditioner "Segreta" commercial. I like this song very much!

  • This was written for a Japanese Perfume commercial.

  • I have the CD Beautiful Mess but I like this version more. Where can I get this version? Does anyone know?

  • cant believe this come from s.o.s. , but like it much!

  • If you like this, check out early sos. I.E. Dirty Money, Taxi Town, Spirit Moves, Masquerade, Fever, etc., you'll find that sos made a career out of auditioning for a BOND film that has yet to see the light of day. Shame!

  • It's SO clear that Andy wasn't part of this... I even doubt if she or he is really Crinne... YES is like a Day another day sample... and the same as alomost boring...

  • I thought the same thing. Still a good hit.

  • This is a remix to die another day

  • Die Another Day???? Not even close! ! Wake up and smell the coffee you foolish people!!

  • I now realise that this is just a remix of the song. The original is much better off of the album.

  • What was the name of that album??

  • this is actually an earlier version of Secret Love...its from a Japanese Shampoo commercial...album track is a later recording...also,Andy wasn't on this, just Corinne

  • I like this song.... but.. does anyone notice the similarities to Madonna's song Die another Day?

  • My wife thinks they sampled parts of Madonna's song in this one.

    Don't know for sure.

  • It sounds a bit like Die Another Day, but they just used similar "sample chopping" I think

  • The album version is without doubt stronger and considerably deeper in terms of arrangement, but this one is catchy dance pop, it's got its' charm. I've grown to like it.

  • I think SOS keep getting better with time...love this song as much as the 80's "Breakout" and "Twilight"...keep on keeping on...Hey Stacey listen to this one more time...My new favorite since they wrote this one for me....

  • I think the original song is far better, nonetheless still great music

  • Oh my God, this song is amazing!

  • it's fab, just as the album, just a pity this remix doesn't feature on the album

  • I actually like this Remix of the song. Does anyone have an MP3 of this?

  • i love swing out sister but this plagiarism of madonna is a wrong step in their career

  • Marvelous! Swing Out Sister does it again!

Each album just keeps getting better and better!

  • love this version of the song. Does anyone have an MP3 of this?

  • this is only a remake for a japan auto commercial..listen to the original..thats very sos.

  • it's a perfume commercial

  • Swingoutstevie is right on the mark. Just heard the official SOS version of this, as well as the title cut "Beautiful Mess." Any fan will be relieved and thrilled when they hear these tracks to find that SOS have not lost their way after all. The gimmicky "Die Another Day" mix heard here gives way to a much fuller, more lush arrangement with the cinematic quality that's become their hallmark. I'll be hunting down my copy of Beautiful Mess. (Thank God there's a Virgin Megastore in my area...)

  • The SOS version is better, but one has to remember that this was written for a Japanese TV commercial....

  • If you want to hear the REAL SOS version , check out their myspace site!!!

    It is fantastic!!!

  • Dear people,

    Forget this version...

The original you can hear on MySpace and meets all the expactions that a Swing Out Sister fan could have. That is also the version that can be heard on their new album 'Beautiful Mess'.

As this is still the most underestimated soul band in the world (and Corinne Drewery the most underestimated singer) I would like to take this chance to advise and encourage everyone to take good listen to it and get it!!

  • OMG you are so right. The SOS version on myspace is FANTASTIC!!!

I can't wait for their new Album.

  • Sounded like Die Another Day by Madonna!

  • yeah, I think so too!

  • Not a strong comeback single. I liked them in the 80's. This production is not good and strong enought to be a hit.

  • j'adore,à quand la sortie en Europe? When will it be out in Europe?

  • I like this song. Great club music - reminds me of the 1980's I love SOS's music and this a nice addition. Can't wait for the album.....

  • Reminds a little of Madonna's Musique (tho, alot better, of course).

  • This is great.

It shows that Corinne can be a "smooth operator" as well as a

    pop diva! :)

The world would be boring if art did not evolve...

  • Thank You for posting this, finally I get to here this song! SWING OUT SISTER RULES!!! I LOVE CORRINE & ANDY THEY ARE THE GREATEST!!, love everything they do, including this funky little ditty...OF COURSE WE ALL KNOW VINYL SOUNDS BETTER THAN CD!!!

  • Thanks for the info on their anxiously awaited CD!!Can't wait to get it.Hope it's available in the states.

  • gosh...all you haters just let them be the artists that they are. the negative comments are really ridiculous! swing out sister rule!!

  • Here Here!

  • I'm an SOS fan since 'Breakout" and I really like this! CD sounds lovely as usual. She/ they can do no wrong. (And yes, I know Andy wasn't involved.)

  • Well, this proves that SOS can sound completely in the moment. Whether they SHOULD go in this direction is another story. While the production is dense and imaginative, I just don't think it shows them at their best. Hoping this is a one-off, and not a sign of things to come...especially coming off their exquisite set Where Our Love Grows. But who knows? I was totally put off at first by Filth and Dreams, til I put the CD in the car and let it grow on me. Today I rank it among their best.

  • HORRIBLE!!!

This new single is so off the mark. I hope this is not a permanent musical direction change for Corrine and Andy. The arrangement reminds me of a cheaper Madonna ( die another day) Bondsong-version, pretty boring.

I'll be crossing my fingers and hope their new release is a return to what they do best. Cool, modern, breezy bossa nova tunes.

  • I agree with your comment! I am a HUGE S.O.S. fan and find this song to be really bland. This sounds very quickly put together and yes, very James Bondish!

  • OK-OK-OK, let's get something straight here, this tune was recorded for a Japanese TV commercial, it is not really a "Swing Out Sister" effort, since Andy had nothing to do with it. Corinne was hired to do the TV commercial and this is the material that was supplied to her.

Swing Out Sister's new album, "Beautiful Mess" will be released on Feb. 27, 2008.

Thank You all for your support!!!

  • Thanks for the info on their anxiously - awaited CD.Can't wait to get it. Hope it's available in the US.

  • Oh this is different yes but still bloody fabulous .... she can't do wrong ... give it a while and the hook line will get you :-)

  • wow this sounds so different then the sos i knew....nice.

  • Sounds just as generic as all the rest of today's music. What I love about Swing Out Sister is they go against the grain. Hopefully the rest of the album will be different from this.

  • Well said, this is complete garbage. Less pop , more jazz, this is just whoring out your talent. There's so much more talent in the voice, and music for this trash!

  • I agree. I hope that this was the first and the last thing I have to hear from Corinne.

They should stick to their musical style.

Lets hope and pray that they don't include garbage like this in their next Album.

  • Reminds me of the Bond Theme Tune: "Die another day" by MAdonna

  • WOW - it's almost as if this should have come after "Who's Been Sleeping", reminiscent of "It's Better To Travel!"

  • It is? Hmm

  • Yeah...somehow...having listened to them since 1987 (and collected some of the remixes and b-sides), this actually makes a LOT of stylistic sense.

  • Ironically I have listened to them as long, and their jazz sound is great. This is absolute garbage. Don't descend to the level of every other pop band with a drum machine. There is so much more talent especially vocally but musically as well. This is just like every other bit of pop garbage out there today

  • BTW, Corinne has the short "bob" cut again, almost the same as she had in 1986-87

  • Beautiful Mess!!!

    GO "C"

  • This is great, but not really representative of SOS. Corinne sings great as usual, but her partner Andy Connell did NOT write or participate on this song at all. It's written by a Japanese composer, it's really a song for a Japanese commercial for a beauty cream...

But a new album is coming in February 2008: "Beautiful Mess"! :-)

  • WOW!!!!.....Have they changed their style or what?!!! Seriously though, it's great to hear something COMPLEATLY different from that amazing musical chamelion that is....the one and only S.O.S!! long may they live!!

  • Fantastic!!Forever Swing out sister!
