I've been collecting Butterflies (and some Moths) as a hobby since I was 7 years old but only recently got into raising them to learn about and document their life cycles. Sort of like the Crocodile Hunter, but with slightly less dangerous prey! Natural science is fascinating stuff. I also write soundtrack-type music (another hobby of mine), so I'll be making more videos in the nature/science genre using the audio and video from both my hobbies. Enjoy!
Thanks for your comment. I myself have a large archive of footage from mostly butterflies, but other stuf as well. I feel sorry that it is no more than an archive. I would like to do something with it. But publishing it on youtube seems like counting the stars. Why did you decide to put it on. And what do you want to accomplish with it? Are there no other, more specific, maybe more serious, media for this kind of material?
My plans include broadcast-quality nature/imagery videos, with soundtrack, on DVD. For now, my work is available, free, at JCMDI.COM, and YouTube hosts my videos. Commercial promo/distrib is impossible but with today's PC-based editors, and mediums like the Internet, YouTube, and eBay, independent artists can be successful. Definitely get your stuff out there - don't let it go to waste! If you want to get rich, the odds are against you. But if you love what you do, you can't lose. :-)
i thot your works were wonderful. can see your passion in it. Very educational. i've looked thro most of your works and even showed my mother who is 79. she was never educated but she was always hungry to know more. we all thot it was v impressive. thanx
