The mysterious giant must have been bigger than the tree if he could chop it down in just 3 ax blows.
So we know where the tree went, what about the giant? Is it the same giant the Icelanders called Utgarda-Loki?
It sucks that the Kalevala is basically the only remnant of Finnish lore, cause I bet there were more stories about that giant. That's how bardic lore works - someone always says "hey what about the giant" so the bards add more to the story.
@kozmon0t Fornjót (Old Norse Fornjótr) was an ancient giant in Norse mythology and a king of Finland. His children are Ægir (the ruler of the sea), Logi (fire giant) and Kári (god of wind).
@kozmon0t AFAIK in some variants it was not a giant at all but a "small man" that rose from the water to fell the oak. Admittedly in some variants he then grows to a giant before the deed - but probably not in all of them, but I'm not sure about that last point however.
You must check Finnish story of KUPU JUMALA ....., and story of World tree , as it covered all of us... etc.

Hyvä, mutta liian heikko ja värisevä ääni. Missä on voima ja innostus?

This sounds vaguely like the Yggdrasil myth.
