  • but stephen hates milk ;)

  • @zoyataylor He hates the skin on warm milk :P

  • He is totally the man for tea commercials, I mean he's even admitted he's made of tweed hehe :D

  • They should have another (in addition to this) commercial promoting Earl Grey. Patrick Stewart should be the star of that :)

  • What a whore. lol

  • Tea.

    Earl Grey.

    Hot.

  • Earl Grey definitely got that zing ting.

  • OMG!! Is that Hardison?!!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAABWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I remember when I was a kid, I thought "ding-a-ling" was Chinese for "penis". xD

  • There are... tea shops in Britain? That's so amazing! Wish we had some in the States...

  • @ForeverTheHero nah, you have McDonalds! congratz by the way

  • @ForeverTheHero the ad is supposed to be set in the states - look at the beginning, we don't have palm trees and weather like that in Britain, lol

  • @xsingsthesorrow oh. wow. just noticed that. lol slow much? but... really? we have them here? that must be one of those in, like, the American Samoa or something. I think i've only ever seen 3 here. Because we fail like that lulza.

  • The tea in Britain is of higher quality because of higher demand, here in the U.S. you could buy Twinings or PG tips, but the leaves are of lesser quality and it's usually not as fresh. Sad :(

  • @warrkrymez i know DD: so depressing

  • @warrkrymez

I bought a package of Twinings South Tea for the first time ever in a general store. The aroma was amazing and the taste was pretty good. However, it had to clean the tea from teadust... and DUDE, it was A LOT of it. 30% of it was all that. It doesnt just make it taste less but it also gets through the tea stainer and right into my cup!

There's a Swedish Twining site so I am going to send complaints about this. How is the quality of the twinings loose tea in england?

  • @BlacksVideos Better tea comes from tea of bigger leaves (as a general rule) and I noticed Twinings puts the sawdust stuff in its imported stuff, so try to order their British blends off their website. There are some great supermarket brands like Lipton's Black Pearl, I tried once it had a crisp, clean taste, but right now I'm stuck with PG Tips Special Anniversary Blend.

  • @warrkrymez

I see. Where can I possibly order this tea? I live in Sweden btw.

Still, I am going to send swedish twinings a message about this. seems stupid to put dust in ti

  • @BlacksVideos and i live in belgium. but i got i.

  • this tea is just B - E - A - utiful.

  • gooood i want to speak english as Stephen Fry!

  • @CochiTravels whoops accidently voted this comment down sorry bout that

  • @AlexanderEsa

    ahahhah no worries!

  • so verdammt teuer hier in Chile T___T

  • Ahhhh!!! Stephen Fry + Aldis Hodge= pure magic!!!!

  • Stephen Fry does the best commercials.

Shame, I haven't seen Twinnings adverts here in Britain for a while.

  • MMORPG players should make themselves tea instead of drinking energy drinks. If only to see what would happen.

  • for this commercial they should have had patrick stewart come in and say "tea, earl grey, hot."

  • I have tried ALL the Earl Grey Teas. Twinings is far superior IMHO.

  • I try to make sure my thoughts come to me in Steven Fry's voice.

They may not always be intelligent thoughts, but they sound smarter when they do.

  • @C1o88er3d

Omg, I am so going to do that now! Mind you, it would be extremely distracting :P

  • i happend on QI all the time

  • tea, earl grey, hot

  • "mmm, mind you" HAHA, that had me laughing.

  • Stephen Fry and Aldis Hodge. Together. I'm just...this is a happy place for me.

  • Very good commercial, but Twinings is god-awful stuff. Numi is way, way better. If you're seeking value for the money, Full Circle is very good, since Numi is a bit on the pricey side (but not obscenely so).

  • a possible alternative for viagra =D?

  • Man I wish they had tea commercials in the U.S. People here are so uncivilized.

  • funny how british people are always the first to deride their own country...and then they complain when people in other countries start feeling inclined to agree with them cos theyre so vocal about it.

england, and for that matter scotland and wales and ireland and all the other various extraneous bits of the british isels have a lot going for them...its just that a lot of the population for some peculiar reason seem hell bent on deriding it...

  • I think a lot of us are nervous about the rest of the world thinking us arrogant, thus the self-deprecating humour. However, if you were to say 'God, i sounded like a real tosser just then', and someone went "Yeah, you are such an idiot," you'd probably still be a bit annoyed.

  • Come on over and have a cup of tea on me :)

  • It's miserable.

  • to VSL123: So I've heard too. But while I plan to come to Britain as well, my one main incentive is Stephen Fry =P

    Good enough?

  • Ignore that moany Englishman, he's the reason people consider our great land miserable

  • You'll be disappointed.

  • @VSL123 England a disappointing Place? No way bro.

England is one of the most exciting place to be. I have to admit that I get most disappointed by most places in the US than in the UK. I highly respect and admire the Brits for their openess and all the good stuff. But you need a lot of bucks to live there...hehehehe

  • "I don't have a ding-a-ling, I'm British"

Brilliant! O how I love the man!

  • I couldn't have put it better myself!!

  • Stephen Fry puts mil in his Early Grey. Check and Mate.

  • bergamot's the main ingrediant in that :)

  • drinking it right now! every time i drink this tea i think of stephen fry!

  • lol i will =3

  • i haven't tried twinnings tea but i too am a fan of earl grey, and english breakfast =)

  • I agree, birdman5050,I like Twinnings tea too.Fresh tea worth drinking.

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

    "I don't have a ding-a-ling. I'm british."

  • Stephen Fry put MILK in Earl Grey. Does that mean that I'm allowed to do that now without fear of being whipped?

  • anything Stephen does is acceptable by definition :-)

  • I hope so, since I do it, too, hahah. Next time I'm asked why, I'll merely bring up this ad and remark that it's perfectly acceptable!

  • LMAO!

    "zing in your ding-a-ling!"

    Great stuff!

  • I love this ad. One of the best I have ever seen.

  • I love you Stephen Fry :)

  • this ad always makes me smile. One of the few "good" adverts around nowadays.

  • I love this tea.

  • Did. He. Just. Put. MILK! In Earl Grey tea?!

  • its great with skimed milk!

semi or full would be crazy though!

  • Gah! I just noticed *shudders* my brain must have blocked it out before

  • A few drops of Earl Grey helps bring out the flavour. Most aristocrats insisted on it for over 120 years and still do. Moreover, the current Earl Grey also does it, and you get better than that.

  • the one i c on TV doesnt end this way...he says "not in my ding a ling"

  • This one is the original....they changed it due to complaints about the british not having "Ding-a-Lings"

  • lol

  • great advert one to go in the book

  • I laughed soo much when I first saw this.

  • It puts the Zing in your Ding-a-ling

  • "I don't have a ding-a-ling. I'm British."

    Gut-bustingly funny!

  • I love these adverts thank you!

  • fantastic and very funny put the sing in my day lol.
