Isn't there a good place you know that is bettween the second lvling area and the third? it would help me alot, because where i am right now, it's still gona take sometime to get to the third lvling area.Appreciatted.
There really isn't any effective place. I haven't touched FF7 since I posted these videos so it's been several years. 4 full plays' worth does have its benefits though. Once you complete the Shinra building event (I always prefer to fight), you're only minutes away from the third leveling ground. FF7 is an easy game anyway (FF6 is easier yet).
Is there a good area bettween your Second lvling Area and the Third lvling area? I wanted to get my chars around lvl 20 after/while doing the mission to rescue Aerith in the shinra building.
Im currently getting to the part where AVALANCHE is striking the second reactor and i get by the place with Tifa and Aerith after the train cemetery.
The third leveling ground isn't very decent, but at least it is entertaining in its own right. The fourth leveling ground is out of proportion as it's so good but that's a long way away.
@ulillillia Thanks alot. I already had a save and i was in Shinra building rescuing Aeris, but i started over, lvled till 15 in that pipe section above the save point in the reactor, got around 50potions(not needing half as i started to lvl) and about 20 ethers. I ended up checking every way for this spot, thank you alot!(just wished there was a save point nearby so i could save whenever i don't have time to do long runs of massive grind here.
Save points are the most annoying things. You should be able to save anytime (outside the middle of a battle or while story events play) and anywhere. At least you wouldn't have to worry about them in my own games. Platform Masters saves automatically and frequently. My 2D RPG (of which comes after PM) allows you to save anywhere but marks good areas for saving.
Hey there. Is it possible for you to tell me how to acess that place? i just bought ff7 for Ps3 and i've been wanting to play, then i saw your vids. Great Work btw!
You'll find this place in the opposite direction Barret tells you to go when going after the second reactor. Just go against Barret's will and fight these. For longer duration, have a "restore" materia equipped on an "all" slot and only heal when someone is missing about 50 to 70% of their HP, healing all. Do not use attack magic and do use limit breaks as soon as you can. 8 uses of level 1 limits gets you the second level 1 limit. 80 enemies gets you level 2 limits.
It may be slow, but this area's primary benefit is that it's lame. Very, very little interaction is needed, allowing you to do homework, work on projects, do puzzles, plan things out, balance your budget, etc. while doing it.
Go as far as you want. At a certain point, this area will lose favor because it gets too slow. That point is arbitrary so do what you feel is neccessary or what you can handle.
Hi, could you help me with the2nd leveling area in FF7? Where do you take those MP from? I usually go dry at around lvl 16-17 having had 3 ethers but you look like you're doing pretty well there..
Any idea to improve my char's situation? Thanks in advance :)
Equip an "all" materia with a "restore" materia. This way, you'll restore 50% more total HP. Don't bother casting cure until you can restore nearly all of the missing HP. The more HP you restore per cast, the better. Run out of MP on one character? Simply trade! Don't use magic to attack though, just use normal physical attacks. By around level 18 or so, you'll end up one-hit defeating the enemies with Cloud from a sudden (unexplained) jump from 64 damage to about 89.
This is the PS1 version. The story indicates the direction you need to travel after escaping the train - go the opposite way for a while and you'll see the guards. Just approach to get a battle and repeatedly choose "stay here" at the end to fight more. It's the best place to level up for quite a while so make use of it while you can.
best disc 11 leveling grounds imo is defo junon after you get the buggie, as they are disc 2 mobs you fight in there and can get to lv 50 in no time at all, i always went as far as 50 then continued the story from there
This depends on where you are in the story. If you have the Tiny Bronco, the 6th leveling ground is the best for a long time. If you've reached Cosmo Canyon and you haven't completed the Gi Cave event, use that area, the fourth leveling ground. I don't have a video for it (I didn't know about it at the time I recorded those), but you can also consider using the Junon alarm method, possible once you reach Costa Del Sol. I don't know the exact conditions for when you can start though.
@ulillillia As soon as you get the Tiny Bronco you can backtrack to Junon (typically around the same time you head to see the man in the cave and tackle the fourth Fort Condor battle). Hope this information is useful.
I thought it was the buggy and not the Tiny Bronco. Once the Tiny Bronco is obtained, my sixth leveling grounds become accessible, a lame leveling ground (since almost no interaction is needed). The buggy is obtained before the fourth leveling ground.
It's the best leveling ground for quite a while into the game. The third leveling ground isn't all that decent, but the fourth is especially good, even better than this one is, and it's considerably easier. There's actually 8 leveling grounds, but, beyond the sixth one, I have no need for them, outside the AP (AP mainly for gil due to mastering alls).
I might make a new game just to go over this part. The third leveling area is dreadfully boring to level off of, and Ireally wanted to murder to giant snake.
Storywise, this is a good and easy leveling place which is why it's recommended. For fast leveling while on disk 1, see my sixth leveling ground video. With the Highwind and before disk 3, the forest around Mideel is the best place to level, though only 50% better. The eighth leveling ground is on disk 3 - take the left path when the path splits in 2 in the final area (be sure to have plenty of elixirs - exploit the W-item glitch to help - see my "fastest gil" video for details on this area).
W-item is an end-of-disk-2 materia. Basically, when you go to your second reactor and have to get out of the train, press down to head toward the camera and do it several times (about 6 or so times) and you'll encounter security guards. Normally, about 3 or 4 times up would take you to a hole where you enter the reactor.
Okay. You know when the group is on the train on their way to the reactor. Then the alarms go off and they jump off to prevent being captured? Well, go down the tunnel as far as you can go. Once there, an alarm will go off and some Shinra soldiers (aka those Special Combatants) will come to stop you.
betwen areas what lvl do you reach, in this area you reach 18 or more than 20? becose in your next leveling area you are 29 sorry if i'm being annoying.
The videos are based on the end of the leveling, not the start. In the first reactor, I usually stop at around level 11. The second area is about 16 (when Cloud does 62 or so damage), the third goes to typically 24, the fourth goes to 40, the fifth goes to 50 (was 99 on the first play), and the sixth and final goes to 99. The other two leveling grounds (Mideel forest, and the final area whwere magic pots are found) are useless for leveling.
wow ive been playing ff7 since 1997 and its the first time ive ever seen that security guard area before! i guess i never went down the tracks in any of my playthroughs
I found it the first time I played, wondering what treasures or materia there might be. I found these things pretty easy to deal with so I used them to train on... a lot. At a certain point, Cloud and others, by the time they do 63 damage or so, will suddenly be doing 90-some, easily one-hitting them. It's also worthy to building up those limits as well.
That was because GameBridge died on me. I had to get a new TV tuner and as a bonus, I finally got the Bubsy videos I wanted. See my blog for details on it, after the first two long headlines.
I don't see anything relating to you knowing that my GameBridge died, unless it was on some other video's comments (with roughly a thousand comments (nearly 500 in just 2), you wouldn't be expected to know each and every one of them.
lets just end this ok, im getting confused, i knew that your gamebridge died because it is in your description on your page, and i was just happy that you have been making videos again recently.
Oh, I forgot that I had that. I very rarely look at my channel (or even change it (it's often weeks or even months before I change it)).... Sorry if I confused you.
I'm sure it is not, unless the current record on SDA of 7hr:41min for FF7 grinds and I don't know about it. Highly unlikely when his final level is 38.
I have no idea. I never speed run. I, instead, focus on levels, side quests, and starting around level 50, get rich and quickly. My current record is 1.3 billion gil....
If you do get into this area, head south (down) instead of north to find it. The other enemies here are more problematic than these and they aren't worth as much.
The music in this game isn't anywhere near as well-liked as that of FF6 or, the better one, FF9. FF9 has the best known music of all the FF games, at least to me, especially its battle music which holds the third place record for the longest streak of the same song (and another at second place for the same song and speed) at 42 days (and 12 days). FF6's world map one (the first version) holds both first place records - 52 1/4 days and 17 days. I mainly just like battling enemies as it is.
I was actually very disappointed with the music in ff9. The battle music isn't as good, the final boss music is no where near as good and neither is the world map music on the first and last disc (it changes if some people didn't know. For the worse on both games.) Finally, the airship music on ff9 is terrible compared to the highwind on ff7.
Then explain this: I listened to Battle Zone (as I call FF9's battle music) for 46 days in a row, my second longest of all. Oh What a World (as I call FF9's world map music), and it's many variants, are also somewhat well-liked, but not as much as BZ. I've only gotten as far as the point when you get Quina. Besides the chocobo, I don't know of any other transportation methods. Knowing FF games, an airship is likely, even in the upcoming FF13.
