i dont think this fight is actually possible. i spend 1 hour in a single fight with this guy and i targeted one weapon the whole fight, i must have hit the thing over 10,000 times and the weapon never dropped off. i could get like 10 -20 on there in between weapon uses. i saw the pikmin on there hitting it! maybe i just got the never win copy of the game. or is there some kinda order to what needs to come off first?

I like the fire attack theme, sounds like it to be very deadly, but it's not all that deadly (If you have non-red pikmin and captains get stunned right in the middle for the whole attack, then you might lose every single one of them though).
Tip for people who find this boss hard, break off one weapon, carry it back and get new pikmin. continue that and when you break off the last treasure, KILL HIM!

You want to make sure that you end the game with at least a few purples so you can actually get the treasure back. Use the blues to take out the Comedy bomb and then all that's left is the Monster pump. Easy cake. As soon as he starts using it unload all the blue pikmin on it then switch over to olimar to constant call the others. (repeat). Killing the final part is easy because he essentially does no damage. Stun and Spice your prey and pikmin (respectively) and rape the balls out of him.

the best stradegy for this boss is to leave the cave and then come back with 100 yellows, as they can reach the dweevil better and are resistent to the most dangerous weapon
heres what i did: since all other effects can be healed by whistling, except electricity, i simply put all pikmins with the president and camped them in a corner and kill the dweevil with only yellow pikmins, (I dont enjoy my pikmin's dying) thats a minimum death way to kill this dweevil

@DarkLordTalon why dont you play the boss first? red pikmin are hurt by everything else so there is no one type thats better than another in this,except maybe yellow 'cause its easier to attack when hes moving.
4. finish off the fire. the fire has the least range because the dweevil only sprays it in 1/4th of the area.
5. it's defenseless. throw all your remaining pikmin at it (chances are, your purples won't be able to be thrown that high, so don't bother to bring them)

I had 37 Pikmin when I came in; 1 W, 10 B, 9 R, 6 Y, and 11 P. I got everyone except P with me, divided them into W+Y and R+B, then went all out. I used all of my 25 red sprays. I got the electric one, and went for the water. The Ship tells me my Pikmin were drowning, and I see the P freaking out. I can't save anyone, then it immobilizes me with poison and kills everything. I'm left with few, so I promptly proceed to take the 5 P and rip it apart.
You seem to all had a srategy, I had not and it was horrible to beat this boss. I had only 33 pikmins left from that op cave and like 2 white pikmins only. The poison thing really took long.
I suggest to not let the poison for the end, cause the spider always turns her back(where the poison is) to hide it from you and its quite difficult to get clear shots. But i guess i just suck. Stil, this boss was intense, i had only 10 pikmins at the end so I coudn't get any treasure.

it would be cool for a final boss for pikmin 3 if the boss took the bodies of one of each type of pikmin in bud in one body and had the stems around it as arms and the buds as mouths and the bosses main head on the main body on the super sized pikmin and you would have to like free them and then the rescued types get to normal size and after all of them are realeased olimar pulls of some epic finisher move to finish off the boss!
i only used yellow pikmin when i was battling the titan dweevil, cause think about it electric is 1 hit kill to other pikmin and if my yellow pikmin got burned, wet, or poisoned i would just blow my whistle on them. that simple.
i had 2 do this TWICE! becuz when i left all pikmin but water and he used the water thing he got them somehow and lost over three fourths of my pikmin, and i then beat him, then i couldnt carry louie!
I beat it, but I didn't have enough pikmin to carry the treasures...damnit... Anyway, I didn't quite figure out why Louie is the final boss. Does he have some kind of hatred towards Olimar after he wasn't able to go back to Hocotate with Olimar?
i play pikmin with mah AR, it makes the game that much funner!!! seriously being able to sacrifice pikmin and have infinite everything really makes it much better, because it isn't a travesty if you lose all ur pikmin :P.
I per-sonly got all the other treasure then headed to that one...So I got immunity to most of his attacks...I also felt sorry because I was so little on pikmin the fist time i defeated him that i couldn't carry all the items he had...sad...
He probably didn't use yellows since when you throw them they go up to high. They go up high but are hard to control because they go fast too. I only use yellows when I see electric around. :P
I think that pikmin 1 is better because you're like " HOLY CRAP I GOTTA GET TO THE SHIP AND GET THE LAST PART BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY!!!!!" but in pikmin 2 your like " meh I think I'll take a break today I've got all the time in the world."

@4Gamer4Fun i would use the same tactic as you would, except with a few changes:
1. first, destroy the water part. this has the most range and hit pikmin camping at the geyser (my experience: i completely forgot about the water and 78 of my pikmin died :()
2. second, destroy the electricity. electricity is always an instant kill and covers quite a bit of range, so it is a good idea to take it out.
3. third, destroy the poison. poison also covers a bigger space than the flamethrower, which...
@piplupwaitwa It's been a long time since playing and I no longer have my save data, but I'm pretty sure you still use the President after completing the Dream Den.
The game doesn't actually "end" until you achieve 100% completion on collecting treasure, and in my case I achieved such upon finishing the Dream Den. Not entirely certain, but I think the game can still be played after seeing the ending.

@BBMarioforever98 Once you obtain White and/or Purple Pikmin from a cave and leave via geyser, you can store them within your ship by standing in its spotlight-like area at the landing zone.
It goes without saying that you can only obtain more whites and purples by using white and purple flowers in caves.
Considering 40 pikmin were lost, here are some pointers:
-use yellow pikmin because the other elements aren't fatal
-they also get thrown high so its easy to get it on a piece
-you dont need to call off your red pikmin if he's about to use fire (same goes for other pikmin)

Everyone else is sharing their strategies, so here's mine:
1. Electric, so I can get more of my pikmin fighting without worrying about that
2. Water, so the ones near the geyser are safer
3. Either fire or poison, It doesn't matter too much
Although, this list is rather loose, I mostly just throw and hope to actually hit him. Why yes, I do suck at Pikmin 2.

my tactic from the official guide:
1. Use yellow to knock out hydro pump so you don't have to worry about your other guys
2.Knock off shock therapist
3. Switch to red and attack flare cannon
4.Use white to attack comedy bomb or go full force if you have nothing in the white left.
5. HE IS DEFENSELESS AND CANNOT EVEN TOUCH YOUR PIKMIN, DO NOT WASTE SPRAYS AND JUST BEAT THE CRAP OUTTA HIM WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT!!!

it would be cool for a final boss for pikmin 3 if the boss took the bodies of one of each type of pikmin in bud in one body and had the stems around it as arms and the buds as mouths and the bosses main head on the main body on the super sized pikmin and you would have to like free them and then the rescued types get to normal size and after all of them are realeased olimar pulls of some epic finisher move to finish off the boss!

i only used yellow pikmin when i was battling the titan dweevil, cause think about it electric is 1 hit kill to other pikmin and if my yellow pikmin got burned, wet, or poisoned i would just blow my whistle on them. that simple.

i had 2 do this TWICE! becuz when i left all pikmin but water and he used the water thing he got them somehow and lost over three fourths of my pikmin, and i then beat him, then i couldnt carry louie!

I beat it, but I didn't have enough pikmin to carry the treasures...damnit... Anyway, I didn't quite figure out why Louie is the final boss. Does he have some kind of hatred towards Olimar after he wasn't able to go back to Hocotate with Olimar?

i play pikmin with mah AR, it makes the game that much funner!!! seriously being able to sacrifice pikmin and have infinite everything really makes it much better, because it isn't a travesty if you lose all ur pikmin :P.

I per-sonly got all the other treasure then headed to that one...So I got immunity to most of his attacks...I also felt sorry because I was so little on pikmin the fist time i defeated him that i couldn't carry all the items he had...sad...

He probably didn't use yellows since when you throw them they go up to high. They go up high but are hard to control because they go fast too. I only use yellows when I see electric around. :P

@4Gamer4Fun i would use the same tactic as you would, except with a few changes:
1. first, destroy the water part. this has the most range and hit pikmin camping at the geyser (my experience: i completely forgot about the water and 78 of my pikmin died :()
2. second, destroy the electricity. electricity is always an instant kill and covers quite a bit of range, so it is a good idea to take it out.
3. third, destroy the poison. poison also covers a bigger space than the flamethrower, which...

@piplupwaitwa It's been a long time since playing and I no longer have my save data, but I'm pretty sure you still use the President after completing the Dream Den.
The game doesn't actually "end" until you achieve 100% completion on collecting treasure, and in my case I achieved such upon finishing the Dream Den. Not entirely certain, but I think the game can still be played after seeing the ending.

AHHHHHHH!!!! Pikmin those were the days I remember this boss took me hours to beat and I'm only 12 so i was like 7 when i beat it i used to think that was tough now i play God of War and that's pretty tough if i went back to Pikmin again probably a piece of cake.

@BBMarioforever98 Once you obtain White and/or Purple Pikmin from a cave and leave via geyser, you can store them within your ship by standing in its spotlight-like area at the landing zone.
It goes without saying that you can only obtain more whites and purples by using white and purple flowers in caves.
