They've been my favorite animal since I was at least 5.. not even sure how or when it happened but I seriously giggle like a school girl when I see a hippo because they are just *that* cute =D

I've convinced a few people to like hippos - like Jessica the hippo (if you don't know her, google her! you won't regret it)

At a zoo one day someone said "ew" over the hippos and I just about drop-kicked them, LoL. They're adorable, and incredibly fascinating! I'm glad someone else relates!
