  • @twhs04 Considering it was shot in 2006, and at the time she was 13 or 14...the math should be pretty easy. She's an international model at the moment, and is currently working in the modeling field. Thanks for the comment. :)

  • My favorite video. I watch it ever time I'm on Utube. Best to you Jessica.

  • @weenlo still my favorite video

  • well done. a pleasure to watch.

  • well done. a pleasure to watch.

  • We know that it didn't come from Sweden from the beginng, but the most of Swedens population have probably only heard this version, so thats why the reactions. Do you have any video with the original version of the song? :) Would love to hear it.

  • This song is Fantastic!

  • irgendwann sind es zu viele fransen-.-

    sorry^^

  • @ApolloMars1617 - Das ist in Ordnung. Vielen Dank für den Hinweis auf sie aus. :)

  • still my favorite video. Watch it every time I'm on U-Tube. Luv you Jessica

  • A bit unusual kind of dance to this classic Swedish folk tune, but I did really enjoy it!

  • Did the song come to the US from Sweeden before the 1800's? or is it's only tie to Sweeden is the fact that the Sweedish band Rednex recoreded this version.

  • @hallwaypro *S* No you are right, Sweden has a great tradition of folk music and this is not the style..but Rednex has made this famous all around the world.

  • @hallwaypro it came from the civil war. it was made in the USA

  • @hallwaypro

It's a syntes off history as I see it.

Old Swedich folkmusik= "Johan pa snippen"+"Hargalåten" ore

    ABBA's ARRIVAL with Nyckelharpa

Rednex have some musik tradition before they hit on

the lovely country musik from over there.

Love the dance number bye that Texan girl bye the way 5*+ ofcourse

  • @hallwaypro no.... it's a song of the band Rednex . It's not a old song from the Western age :P

  • @Valyusthas220 ...you're absolutely right about this being a song performed by the band Rednex...although the original song is more than 100 years old coming from America before the 1860's. This happens all the time...newer bands performing old songs and making them popular again. :)

  • There you go...I'm not the only one posting comments :)

When they get home, though, they change into coveralls so's they don't drip no grease from the fried chickin dinner they's havin'.

  • I don't just wear my hat to church. It blocks the sun after a long cattle drive. I wear my coveralls to church because they are the cleanest clothes I have. Get your facts straight girl...lol ;--)

  • so did she end up as miss houston?

  • That's not the dance!!!!

  • Then show us how it's done.

  • isnt that type of dance called clogging??

cause if so my sisters do the exact same dance!!!!!

  • lol. ask anyone from a foreign country what western united states people wear and they will say levis and cowboy hats

  • Give us a holler when you're here...lol

  • COOOOLLL!!!

  • What | wanna know is how her b|oody hat stayed on, ne~

    (Sorry, |rish accent, ne~)

  • Not sure myself...maybe Jessica could answer that one...but my guess would be a strap that goes under her chin.

  • very nice job!

  • do people in Texas actually wear that?

  • Have you ever been to Texas? ...It's just a costume she wore for the pageant. Thanks for the comment. :-)

  • i wasnt trying to be insulting!! =[[

and no i havent ever been to texas..

    i was just wondering

  • I know you weren't trying to be insulting. Honest questions and searches for knowledge never insult anyone. If they do, then the person that feels insulted just has a chip on thier shoulder. Never stop asking... ;-)

  • idk man, theres a few crazies here in houston

  • no people in texas do not wear that its a costume for the recital

  • NO WE DO NOT

  • Sure,don't you know that?

Here in Scotland we all wear the kilt! -.-''

  • Yeah...and in Japan they all dress like Samurais and Geishas... keep it coming...lol

  • Yes they do,I see them swarm the dance floor in Virgina like ants attacking a sugar cube flat dancing to rocky top.Thats funny!

  • I'm offended...*I say as I park my horse and spit my chewing tabacco into the spitoon by the bar* lol

  • at least she is dressed decently

  • and i thought the united states wasn't educated about foreign countries, apparently they aren't even educated about their own...

  • What planet are we on?

  • I think she is pretty hot. Ok off to go drive my truck through some mud.

  • No idea but dang.....looks nice :D

  • between seconds 1:03 and 1:05 i learned. DURING CLASS!

  • Good for you. Keep it up.

  • no offence but it was out of tune

on the other hand it was good!

  • problem with the sound system, or maybe the auditorium

  • does this song have a chinese version or something? because last week we had a performance... and we used this song. (the dance was for a chinese performance)

  • It's quite possible...most music has been translated to other languages for Kareoke or when a song becomes popular in other countries.

  • How is a name of this way of country music???

    Pleeease someone answer me???

    I like it

    =)

  • If you're asking what the name of the song is... 'Cotton-Eyed Joe'. If you're asking why is it considered country music... because it was written in the North American continent. Music originating in the style of American Country Music is sometimes refered to just as Country Music.

  • Pretty good. The choreography could have been better though.

  • awsome, keep up da good work

  • its good but i can do that i'll do that and put it up
