Does it still need to be oiled like a regular 'bone? Seems like the general slickness of plastic would only require a wiping down every once in a while. The moisture of you playing would lubricate it plenty well.

In my opinion it is a pretty good deal for what you get from it.

@Jammipi You will find it's a lot easier to carry a bras horn if you get a good quality gig bag instead of that plastic or wooden case...ost of the cases weigh more than the horn. You will have to be careful gig bags don't provide as much protection but if you are careful they are fine...

@Phil49er This. I have a Pro Tec cloth case that I LOVE. It is much lighter than the case that came with my trombone, and came with a backpack strap to. It is a model C239. It weighs 5.5 lbs and costs $125. It's very good quality.
