@skyrunner14 Why would you buy this game when you can just use the swap technique? Insert a pirated disc, wait for the laser noise then swap it for any original dics and then swap it again when you hear the noise for the pirated disc.

@EpsilonEagle123 Yes, it's totally worth it. As long as you like old-school survival horror games, you'll like this game. I personally prefer Resident Evil, but this game is excellent in its own and even has some particular features and aspects the Resident Evil games never had themselves.

Wow this game looks pretty cool. I'd love to buy a saturn just to get some of the games that were never re-released. It didn't have a lot of them, but it definitely had a handful of really great games that didn't appear anywhere else.

By the way...I wonder where Dino Crisis 2 got its game mechanics from.........

omg fouriscvs and so many fmv cut scenes, i loved this gameits one of the best saturn titles, a lot bigger and better than resident evil and such a great atmosphere. Btw the characters are a lot more sympathetic and emotinal than those of resident evil,

In my op it was more interesting and had a better story than Resident Evil. I could not lay down the joypad until I was through. Too bad it was released too late. One of the best games for Saturn! RE is not the only thing when reffering to horror adventures!

If you played it you would not claim Resident Evil was better. It was different. But Deep Fear featured some things RE never had at that time.

AM7/Overworks did like the thing about counter-attacking rival series with their own high quality in-takes. First they counter-attacked Rolling Thunder with Shinobi, then Final Fantasy with Phantasy Star, then Final Fight with Streets of Rage, and then Resident Evil with Deep Fear.

This game looks awesome i remember wanting to buy it at the time but never had the money if it was now i that this and panzar dragoon saga came out i would own em both but i did not really have a income in the sega saturn days and it was down to if my parents brought it was in college and could not find a job at the time but if it was now with me working i would of snapped up both them games up. would of loved to of played deep fear i love horror games.

could someone tell me how the controls are? one comment says the aiming is a mess and it also looks like it is like that in the vid. i kind of don´t like shity controls because it ruins the fun for me.

another comment sasy its pretty hard. i remeber dino crisis for the ps1 being very hard. is this one similar to dino crisis in difficulty?

The controls are confusing, mainly with the D-pad cause the view keeps changing which throws you off.

Bad thing about the analog control are those annoying camera transitions. I prefer d- pad control all the way, specially to avoid that.

i remebered being so scared of this game when i was a kid. especially the cutscenes. my older cousin would ask "do you want to play sonic R" i would scream yes, so hed turn theb power on, and it would be this as a joke. i would run away before i saw anything scary

I did like that game really much. Awesome cutscenes accompanied by an awesome Soundtrack and a decent storyline make that a great game. Especially because it's Saturn only.

That's strange: The Japanese version of that scene has no sound, just the song and the voice over. Regardless, Deep Fear's one of my favorite S-H games; I always felt so sorry for John.
