Ahh that reminds me, why were there soo many dead elites all over the maps in ODST, usually the 1 mission where u had to investigate Dare's Pod. Why are there soo many dead?? Plz answer, wanted to know this question since I played ODST.

Spartans > Elites > Brutes > everything else. When I first played Halo 3 campaign and found out Elites and Humans joined forces I was thinking, this isn't a war anymore it's a badass allied beatdown!

Spartans = an ass kicking waiting to happen

Elites = fast , smart, strong,

Brutes = strongest and most durable, but no shields and lack of intelligence.

elites are way better, they are do more melee damage, just look at halo 2, elites killed you w/ 1 melee from normal and up. brutes killed you w/ 1 hit only on legendary

Although brutes are bigger and stronger than the elites, the elites generally still win because they're more clever and so they're more tactical in battle and work as more of a team than the brutes

Elites. hands down.

Yes, brutes have thick hydes and armour (Not power), But elites have Power armour.

So, If you shot a brute, it would take the damage and take a while to recover.

But an elite just needs to recharge his sheild.

Also, they're both trained in Close combat, and Brutes are bigger and stronger, but elites weird a small blade (assasinate somebody online on reach) which could be used to take down brutes

@SlidingGhost It may be noted that not only Elites die alot against Brutes due to being numerically inferior but also, their code of honour gets in the way of the Elites being the excellent tacticians we know they are capable of being.

Elites seeeeem more intelligent, definetly far superior in training, tech and they are quite good shots and well organised however their code of honour gets in the way of this.

Brutes are stronger, more ferocious, more initiating (not disadvantaged by a code of honour, just go in for the kill), strong pack mentality and superior numbers.

In a nut shell, they're both as good IMO...

Elites are just as strong as Brutes, but Elites are more agile and smarter. The Spartans themselves thought that they found Elites more dangerous because they were smart but Brutes were more annoying because they kept berserking. Besides, this fight wasn't very fair, the Brutes had stronger weapons and they outnumbered the Elites by a lot. 100 with Brute Shots vs 10 with Plasma Rifles: not good odds

I mean yeah I like them more than Brutes but they could just be a bit better, or twice as good, or maybe even 3 times as good but no matter what here's the facts: you've got 10 or so Elite Minors with puny little shields and wimpy Plasma Rifles that take like 20 shots to kill a Brute in the game vs Brute Ultras and Captains with stronger shields and Brute shots that take like 3 to kill an Elite. Those aren't very fair odds

@MisterChef711 Brutes who are high ranked enough to be armed with Brute shots have tougher shields than Elite Minors, yes the Elites are superior in fighting skills and tactics and they even rival a Brute in sheer strength but the minors are not as skilled as higher ranking elites and have poor equipment, even worse: they're outnumbered. You ask me: I'd say that we'd need a team of 10 Field Marshalls with Swords and FRG's to take on 100 Brute Ultras with Brute Shots

If you as the masterchief destroy the turrets and give the elites some brute shots or a fuel rod gun , they kick ass!

in halo 2 the level uprising you got a good amount of elites as allies and i remember that they destroyed everything in halo 2 because they actually had good weapons in halo 3 plasma rifles dont do nothing and in halo 3 all elites have energy swords but bungie didnt let them use it because it makes your team over powered. elites look like they can stand a chance against a brute but anyone else think the brute should be bigger or at least he looks like he could he could grab and throw an elite to the ground but the elite should have an advantage with moving fast and having a sword behind the brute anyways they should have a new enemy in the covenant that should be the third lead in a pack elites and grunts then brutes and grunts now some new enemy would be nice
