@mikeny1987 Actually, this man, Bishop Ellis, is a son of the COGIC. I am guessing you are a young person who doesn't know the history of the COGIC - check it out Bishop Ellis is there.
@KLRwashere I was lonely yesterday. I remembered this video at work. "Sing." the pastor authoritatively said. So I marched down the hall, singing this song on the inside, starting with the amusing intro the Bishop sung as the congregation rose to its feet. I felt better...leaving my burden with the Lord as I thought of this song. Singing the refrain right now does something for me.
@KLRwashere I really am glad. I am glad that when I am sad and then sing a song like this I can not exactly remember what was the matter in the first place.
This lady apparently was somebody in the body... I see heavy hitters like, Carns, Jakes and of course top people in the church (COGIC, of course)....Who was she?
I had never heard this song until we sang it at this service for Mother Sledge. Since that time this song has carried me through. Listen to the words and be blessed.
I c Bishop J. Drew Sheard, Bishop Loran Mann, alot of COGIC folk there.
