  • I thought 630 was always at the Midland in Baldwin City.

  • i miss the old smoky hill. The old smoky hill was by the looks of the videos a hell of alot better than the new belton granview and kansas city .r.r.

  • @train2589 Yes it was. And it went further than the new one does. now it only goes up to the park and back. Back then, it would go to the trestle near 195th Street and old 71 (Peculiar Drive). Now the track stops at 179th St. Cambridge).

  • @garywayne1966 Its too bad im too young to have seen all of this! :(

  • thats the way a P5 should sound like, and the E6,only locomotive of its type that still survives, just like IRM's E5...

  • @fnm9908 Actually L&N 770 survives at KRM, though in bad shape. Agree about the P5!

  • Back in the 70's I had the pleasure of railfanning several times in Blue Island Illinois and hoping to see the 630 was always our main objective. One time I even saw them service it and turn it on a turntable in B.I.

  • This is incredible! To think that 630 was originally painted with a golden nose, and is now in a museum, still operational, That just amazes me. It still has a beautiful sounding P5 Old casting on it as well. This is a rolling piece of history..

  • not bad but too dark
