i'm a guy, never tried singing this song, but it's very hard to sing i'd assume. have you heard her mirrorball live version?  It's much better than her studio verse, and easier to sing. Sarah can only sing live with backup singers.

First of all, sweetie pie, you spelled her name wrong. It's "mclachlan." Hehe, just had to point that out. And also, you are putting WAY too much power anf force into the notes of this song. Sarah's song's aren't meant to be sung with the forced belt you're using. Your vocie isn't bad, it's just not fit for Sarah's songs. It's more "pop." Try something by Jojo or maybe Christina Aguilera, if you can manage. Hope I helped. :]

Sing country, it's better suited for your voice. Also, user your lungs and not your throat to sing. Make sure you chest is tight when you are singing and sing from your diaphragm. Practice like this and you'll improve more than you realize.

I can hear in moments that you have a really good voice, but i think you have a tendency in this song to try to force the power in your voice by using your throat too much, almost constricting, which leaves you struggling a bit.

When it comes from your diaphragm and your throat is more relaxed it has very good tone and the necessary power.. nice.
