  • I also teach with Coach Brown and the scuba program at NCSU.

He's holding the top of the mask against his forehead, and keeping the bottom loose if not held a little bit off of the skin on his cheeks. He exhales very slowly and steadily until there is a little bit of water in the bottom of the mask. He then tips his head back a little bit and gives a last puff into the mask to clear the bottom which is the bubbles you see coming out. The key here is to keep your eyes open to see the water.

  • What he doing? Sucking the water in through his nose and out his mouth? How about some verbal instruction.

  • coach Larry Brown is how he does it haha, but seriously breathing control and creating a seal against the forehead allows the air he releases to push the water out of the mask smoothly and without releasing excess bubbles

  • how his getting read of the water . that is the most hated thing for me to do. i is eazier to dive 30 meter deep for me than to do that

  • Okay...you have to tell us what you are doing...why can I NOT clear that well?

  • That's smooth. I normally let out loads of air too!

  • How the hell does he do it??

    I didn´t get it...
