Thanks for letting the rest of our world understand the tragedy of Dresden. There seems to be an obscene tendency to lie about the horrible tragedy of that beautiful city. Barely escaping from the surrounded city of Breslau, we arrived in Dresden at midnight. In Dresden,we were evacuated to a small village 10 miles away, from where we could see and hear the destruction of Dresden. It was the most tragic moment of our lives, even considering the horror of my service in Vietnam.
