You have The Netherlands and Belgium that are 2 deferent country's ! from 1815 till 1830 Belgium part Flanders(the dutch speaking part) was a part of The Netherlands and Wallonia (french speaking) to. So now you're mixing thing up haha. Belgium is a country thats really messed up they dont even have a government it felt a year ago and they are still "reforming" it. But that isn't a part of The Netherlands ;) Belgium is divided in Flanders and Wallonia.

im usually Prussia and i keep my general in gaurd de corps because if you have a generals body gaurd the opponent is gonna know where they are and they suck at fighting with gaurd de corps the opponenet will need to look at the mini map and figure out where teh star is and they can figth very well

The southern part (Belgium and pieces of Limburg and Brabant) was Spanish and after that French (only southern Belgium was French). It wasn't untill 1815 that the two parts were joined (and in 1831, they split up again). So in Empire total war, it was just the netherlands (1700 - 1800), but if you look at Napoleon total war (or just after it to be precise) you would be right.

Though never recognized by other country's after the Dutch war of Independence (80 years war). It was formed by the 'Akte of Verlatinghe' (Act of Independence)
