  • Apparently, it's possible for this to occur in the UK but I have never seen it :/

  • Gabugnr80s , if you read the description it says...

    CANADA ;)

  • OHHH LOVELY

  • Beautiful! I really wish I could see this.

  • THis basically happens because the sun gives of radiation which basically flies outward in every direction and the magnetic field of our earth repels these yet some still manage to get through causing this beautiful display of lights ...

  • shmeh. 7/10

  • spectacular!

  • its funny that we think it is so beautiful but yet do not understand why things like this happen in our everyday lifes

  • No word of a lie I have seen this in the UK. It wasn't as intense as this but still visible. Me and my friend watched it till day-light.... and that is the truth!

  • It happened in July? I thought these only occurred in winter. Beautiful. I hope I get to experience this someday.

  • Dude, that is something else! =D

  • now whee was that in BC then ????

  • To see the northern lights is on my list of things to do

  • It's only 4000 bucks to take trip up to husdon bay. Just search 'where to see northern lights' in google.

  • Oh I wish I could see this for real. It's really something else.

  • 4000 bucks. Thats it!

  • that s charming

  • Beautiful.

  • is that elapsed over time?

  • in the 1960's around 1968 or 67 i saw the northern lights in upstate new york

  • I love how you can see the stars shift to, i am definitely going to see this phenomenon before I die.

  • so awsome at 0:30:D:D:D

  • aaaah.. my favorite phenomena

  • this is probably the most beautiful thing i've ever saw in my whole life.

  • is it real?

  • its as real as pizza, (dont let that gynx anything)

  • OMG it's sooooo beautiful!!!

  • the red lines are camera faults right?:p

  • the ones real close to the screen r, the other one are distant meteorites u can see somewhere close at the northpole

  • meteorites?

  • Arora . Deflection and infution of the Sun's rays deflected by other planets , fused with the earth inosphere.... Thats how those pretty lights you saw in the video are called..... There are red and blue versions of that as well..... Only observed in the polar areas Where earth's magnetic feild is at its strenth....

  • thanx for the information:D

  • yep

  • This is awesome

  • look at 0:28 to 0:37

    Amazing... and beautiful....

  • God did that did he?

  • sure!

btw, the 'sparkles' over the video that appear sometimes, are they fireflies??

  • yes he did nd dont believe wat ppl say....if it wasnt for god u wouldnt be here at all u'll probably be dead long tyme ago

  • Absolutely amazing. Totally awesome. God's power is amazing.

  • God's power? define God.... to me, if your going to put god's power down to just these green hues then you're totally missing the scope of the universe in the back ground, or the very foundation upon which these lights spark. You do yourself (and the true God - our natural living cosmos) a great disservice

  • amen

  • Beautiful video!

And we (jeddah, saudi arabia) always see like in 00:21

but when it come close, we find out that it is a SAND STORM!!!

  • aint it just beautiful, and its natural as well...how cool is that, kirkenes in northern norway is where im going to see them, with a little stay at the snow hotel AWESOME!

  • orsm... cant wait to see it when im in canada....

  • I miss Alaska so much for this very reason. Thanks for posting this

  • This is PRECISELY why i want to gos to Northern Canada/ Alaska. Shame I'm in the u.k, with crappy weather.

  • *mesmerized* can canadan and/or alaska come to illinois? :P

  • really cool_!

  • is that ur house

  • Nice video. Remind me of my hometown in the north of Norway.

  • Wow. Just thrilling. I loved it. Thank You sooo much. This deserves a 5/5 and a favorite!

  • beautiful video! thanks for posting.

  • Does anyone know if you are more likley to see them in Alaska or Norway?

I'm planning a trip, but don't know where to go! :D

    Many thanks

  • I would say Alaska because the sky is clearer more often

  • totally going to propose under these things

  • WOW!! I've never seen them, are they really gradual and take all night or are they just quick flashes? in the movies they always just appear suddenly and wave and wriggle really fast, but this looks to have lasted all night almost...

  • they are gradual and take long time, normally on videos of them they speed up the film to make it look more interesting.. it is a truly amazing sight though in real life

  • Thanks for posting. 5 stars!!!

  • wow

  • simply beautiful

  • omg, i would be totally scared and amazed at the same time if i saw this! how beautiful!

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is it possible to view the Northern Lights in the North East US? I live in Maryland (actually South East, but it's the northernmost southern state), anyway, I was wondering if you could ever see them from Maryland

  • i know north of scotland they can be seen reasonably regulary, get your map out and check if we're in the same band around the world (if you know what i mean, never was that good at geography)if we are get to highground away from the city.

    good luck =D

  • Thats a breath taker!!!

    AMAZING!!

  • bra....

    thats fuckin crazy!!!!!!!

i would love to see the northern lights

  • how are nothern lights like even created?:S LOL. like how do they change colour and stuff like that.

  • the northern lights are caused by radiation from the sun hitting the earths atmosphere through solar winds at the point where the earths magnetic fields come together and deflects the radiation

  • very good video

  • Amazing.

Anybody know when the best time to go and see these is? We were thinking of going at christmas but I wanna b sure

  • mate that pretty fuckin epic

  • Thats amazing! Thanks so much for sharing.
