  • ahhh nothing like the sound of a 500

  • I bet this thing costs alot.

  • This is Ken Pochinko 'Spyder' US Militia Moonlight Helicopter Squadron. I like it. Call me if you want to fly one of my 10 new MD 530FF US Militia Helicopters we are suing for unless you tell me how to get a new MD-500.

Do you want to join the Militia?

  • Great video!

  • How much is this thing??

  • 1st off thanks for sharing the videos. Loved everyone of em. If it's not too personal could I ask what the owner does? I mean is he just a private pilot that owns a helo or does he work in aviation field and or uses this helicopter for work etc? And what is your job with him called? Backup pilot or test pilot or other?

Pardon if I'm not clear enough. I'm a german native typing from germany.

  • @Toyman07 They do land development in the east tennessee area and is primarily used for showing people the land after everything is ready to be sold. My job, is nothing. Every now and then I simply help do a maintenance flight and etc.

  • @michaelmiller85

Ah I see.. Thanks for replying and fly safe.

  • @michaelmiller85 greetings from east tn myself. tel ya what, was this at powell airport?, anyhoo i bet this machine could make the flight to mccloud mtn in lafollette with ease

  • @michaelmiller85 are there shock absorbers in teh skids?, i noticed at point of liftoff the legs appear to stretch

  • I don't believe so to my knowledge.

  • thanks for the vid's of your boss's 500 mike i am wondering if the 500 series is ifr capable ?

  • @veteran1970 yes the md500 is allowed to fly under Instrument Flight Rules. it is the pilot who must be rated for "IFR" ( so the question should be, am I allowed to fly IFR? ) as nearly all aircraft and helicopters have the instruments required to do it. if you mean "ILS" then , no it would have to be fitted with extra equipment in order to use this facility. however helicopters would rarely use it anyway.

  • @intoxicologist thanks for explaining i wasn't sure i plan on becoming a pilot so that is good to know
