California Tower Carillon Chimes in Balboa Park, San Diego, California

I was down there today around 1pm and the chime that played was The Adams Family theme song. It was awesome!!!

They have this same chime to mark every hour in El Cajon at the intersection of Main and Magnolia.

It's actually an electronic carillon made by Maas-Rowe. It has amplfied struck metal rods. M-R still use rods; the other fake carillons (including Schulmerich) nowadays are all digital. A set of REAL bells would be nice indeed.

Nice sound but the carillon is fake. Its electronic produced by a Schulmerich instrument probably. this tower needs a real set of bells made in the Netherlands!

@Carillonnl Schulmerich electronic bells sound much better than these Maas-Rowe things with their 1940's technology. There should be real bells in a beautiful tower like this.
