Personally, from what we've seen so far I think the key to beating Trafalgar Law is being able to defend against or otherwise counter his "Room" power. Barring someone like Zoro being able to block Law's Room-Cuts, the one most likely to be able to stand up to him is probably Buggy the Clown, since Law's cutting him into bits wouldn't bother him in the least. The real question is could Buggy freely control his detached parts in Law's Room or does he have to fight Law's control for it?

zoro could probably defend the cuts, but buggy wouldnt have control. did the marine have control of his head? of course not. actually, buggy may be able to control his parts in law's hands, ASSUMING his feet are on the ground. if law takes his feet, then law wins.

simple. dont enter the room circle. but law has some other power that we see in his fight with kuma....he holds this rotating white thing. idk what that is, kinda anxious to find out though...

1. lets start with storming impel down.

2. the FIRST person to EVER do so.

3. the events that are soon to come at the execution site, like luffy beating some high ranked person

the bounty doesnt mean how strong you are, it shows how much of a THREAT you are to the government.

the bounty means how much the government wants you dead.

for example, luffy is stronger than kidd, but then why is his bounty less than is? cause kidd kills civilians, innocent civilians. the government, therefore would want him dead more than luffy.

You can't really say Luffy is stronger than Kidd. While I concede that when the two eventually clash, Luffy, as the Hero of the Story, will prevail I personally saw their team-up with Law to be a way to show the three pirates as equals more than anything.

While some of the 11 Supernovas seem weaker/stronger than others, because bounties aren't a reliable way of determining power, I think it's best to consider them equal to one another until proven otherwise.

For all we know Kidd and Law & their crews were able to take out the Kuma they were fighting just like the Straw Hats did. law and kidd's whole crews are both utterly useless against this pacifista. their first mates, and even the captains themselves cant scratch this pacifista. THEN they were tired, and THATS when kizaru and sentomaru came.

Right. Luffy's crew defeated a Kuma, but it wore them out so bad they were easy pickings who showed up next. Again, we've yet to be shown how Kidd & Law's fight actually ended. We don't know if they succeeded or failed to defeat their Kuma. We also don't know whether or not Kidd or Law could take a Warlord of the Sea due to the fact that, far as we know, neither one's been in a position to have to do so. Luffy defeated two Warlords, but that means nothing except Luffy defeated two Warlords.

Anywho, Luffy is strong. So is Kidd. In reality, a fight would go either way. In fiction, unless Luffy NEEDS to lose for some reason he will win. The fun is in seeing how it happens and given Kidd's power is (as you yourself point out) the ability to attract metal, he can pull cutting blades from just about anywhere metal is.

Such a fight can prove to be interesting indeed. Plus, imagine if Luffy and Kidd's fight occurred in a scrapyard? Home field advantage for Luffy to overcome. What if there was no metal whatsoever around them? How would Kidd cope? One Piece battles are not always so straightforward that mere strength is enough. The Straw Hats and their foes have fought with their heads almost as often as their muscles.

If the story shows they ultimately failed, then you'd be right. But at this time we have no information on how that ended, so it can't be sued as an example.

I don't think there is going to be a gear 4th, at least not yet. Oda has been hinting strongly that Luffy will eithr figure out or be taught how to use his Haki. And if the Rayleigh VS Kizaru fight is any indicater, Haki IS effective against Logia types

Also, going by the Boa sisters, there's an implication that Skypeia's Mantra, CP9's Life Return, and Garp's ability to harm Luffy despite his rubberness could be forms of Ambition (or Haki, if you prefer, but I like Ambition). Between them Hancock's sisters displayed the abilities to read Luffy's attacks and manipulate their hair (Sandersonia) as well as cause him otherwise impossible physical injury and be lit on fire without pain (Marigold).

My only gripe there is that, by reducing the bounty, you removed a large chunk of what you yourself have been saying bounties are about (the government wanting this pirate and why) and went on to use that to compare Kidd to Luffy. To me, bounties are a rough outline at most. Meaning you can reasonably expect someone with a high bounty to have the power to back it up, but that's as as far as it goes. And how much Luffy's bounty bounces up from this may depend on how much the government blames on Luffy personally VS others (Blackbeard/Whitebeard/etc).
