there is a little tiny mistake in the first tunes, its the first thing thats played on guitar, it's just one hit og the low e end the a string, 5th fret. then a powerchord on the A and D string in 6th to 8th fret (you know, pointerfinger in the sixth and ringringer in the 8th) but otherwise, awesome cover :D
Damn, I'm looking for a pickup that can do both. Anyone have any recommendations for a pickup that can be really aggressive and do death and thrash metal in D standard and Drop C and some more modern metal stuff, yet clean up and have great cleans for an ESP Edwards AL-128?
Well, now I have the perfect equipment which can do both. Jackson J-50BC ( a low impedant pickup for extrem clean sounds)+ JE-1000 !) Check out my newer covers to hear the tone!
@Gonboo im not sure u can find a pick up to do all that O.o but i can say the black out could cover power metal, death metal, grindcore, maybe thrash im not suree
pro: lot of distortion and really clean sound on the highs; really aggressiv
cons: too bassy
EMG:
pro: minimal noise; really clean - cleaner than the S&D
cons: don't know
So both are great pickups. But if you want to have a more clean but heavy sound, go for the HZ. If you want to play more aggressiv licks, death or black, go for the S&D
ur playing is absolutly clear...- if u havent overworked it with some editing stuff - ur technique is great and this let it sound even more awesome...
rock on !
btw: which ESP guitar is it exactly? cause it looks like a 600, put the 600 doesnt have an MM-04 or do u put in the booster?...or is it really an ESP custom?
the Seymour Duncan AHB-1 Blackouts are supposed to have great tone, do you recommend them instead of emg's like the hz-f-h2 or HZ-H4 and are you satisfied with the gainboost in your tone? your setup sounds pretty well
Well, many people ask me if I prefer the blackout over an H4 or EMG 81... It's hard to say. The blackout got a lot of gain and sounds great in the mids but imo it's a littlebit to bassy. It has definitely a better sound than an EMG 81 but I won't say that my tone was worse with my HZ. I have never played a guitar with an FH-2 but I don't think that their is a big difference to the H4. All in all I must say that my MM-04 works and sounds better with the H4 - but only when you play over a real amp
i think if your are note satified with the ahb-1 it is beacouse you have not the all set . . . the ahb-1 as creted in paralel with a bridge pick up and a neck pick up . . . the are perfect together but sucks when one of them is missing
i had two guitar one with emg hz and the other with emg 81-85 . . . now i have seymour duncan ahb-1 set and it is way better now! the clean are really good and the tone in distortion is relly perfect
the hz f h2 and the hz h4 are completely trash and they should be replaced immediatley....if you get anything emg I suggest the classic 81/85...other than that I recommend the seymour duncan ahb-1 blackouts..they are the best by far
Yes. I insert the midi of the guitar pro file into Fruity Loops and then I paste soundfonts from hammersound over it (it has the same sounds from GP but they sound MUCH better as you can hear)
I don't know but it's really easy to use. Just load your gp midi in fruity loops, download some cool soundfonts (save them in your FL soundfonts folder) and put them over the different tracks.
I can't remeber the exact names for the soundfonts I have but I use jd rockit for drums, ariya pro bass for bass and christian bla bla for my keys
do you have guitar pro? the sound you hear from the program is called midi sound. also those old mono ringtones you had a few years ago for your mobile phone are midi files too. or if you'd ever play DOOM I&II - all midi files
I agree because the Alexi guitar looks awesome as is but it adds his own personal style to it, same with the red pinstripes. I do think you coulda picked a better sticker, maybe Chaos Ridden Years symbol?
for you to get a similar tone of children of bodom.. the seymour duncan blackouts AHB-1 is the best?

How does the SD Blackout compare to the passive emg that came with the laiho guitar and how well does the SD clean up?
Gonboo 1 year ago
@Gonboo:
This is what I think about both:
Blackout:
pro: lot of distortion and really clean sound on the highs; really aggressiv
cons: too bassy
EMG:
pro: minimal noise; really clean - cleaner than the S&D
cons: don't know

are you using string 10 or 11? can i use string 10 to drop C?
FroztKing 2 years ago
0.11-0.54 for drop C. you can also you thinner strings but then you risk a stringscrape at the lower strings

i have 3 questions about the blackouts:
1. is the Ahb-1 a bridge pick-up or neck?
2. will the Ahb-1 fit in the Ibanez MtM2?
3.what is your PU setup? (bridge PU?, neck PU?)

The Backing Track is made with Fruity Loops (with the midi of guitar pro)
bodombeachterror666 2 years ago
so first you wrote the whole thing with guitar pro and the you used Fruity loops?

you kick ass! how the fuck can you sound soo clean??? guess you´re just good...
could you make a video where you show all your gear and maybe play some nice solos or something? would be nice to see, good video!

Thx!
Well, Blooddrunk is one of the easier songs on the album. The only hard part is this interlude but you can learn when you practise it enough.
I don't have that much equipment, it's all listed on my profil page. I have more than 5 guitars but this one is the one I normally use for metal
