  • Remember the Dexter's Laboratory episode with Dynomutt in it? He defeated the horrible robot Dexter built to replace him.

  • is dynomutt a greyhound?

  • wish cartoons were as good nowsays as they were back then

  • These are one of the few shows that they still show on television. I think that they showed this on Boomerang.

  • Scooby Doo was cool, dynomutt was cool. But the scooby doo/dynomutt hour?

  • Why every hanna and barbera superhero must be a robot with telescopic limbs or dressed as an animal?

  • I remember watching this on ITV on Saturday afternoons but look at the shite they have on now.

  • Loved it back then, still do know. Thnx to Boomerang for bringing it back

  • I love the fact that they referenced this so many times in Dexter's Lab

  • @KylenPhylar

I know right!? Dexter's Lab is FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • 0:13

  • AWESOME!!!! EPIC CAPAIN FALCON!!! I watched this before

  • Anybody catch at :13 when the falcon car flies towards you, if you pause and look close you see Scooby in that car holding on to blue falcon. Perhaps this piece of footage was from the original intro from Saturday Morning in 1976.

  • I am trying to buy a DVD box set for the complte series. all I find is the Scooby Doo version

  • All superheroes should sound like Gary Owens.

  • was there a another series called Blu Valcan and Dog Wonder?

  • @pikabko1 .......same cartoon (The Blue Falcon)...

  • so epic!

  • Is there anybody out there how has the end credits to this . It used to be on but not now . Only the music is better withouth all the talking that goes on at the start . Theme music was the best psrt of this show

  • FALCON PAWNCH!! Whoops, wrong Blue Falcon...

  • is this gadget his dog?

  • I remember them better on Laff-a-Lympics and have totally forgotten what their own cartoon looks like.

  • scooby waz the best tho

  • 1978! i use to watch this in the 90s i remember when they met dexters lab

  • @Twiggymaster666 I SAW that episode! Blue Falcon is on the couch talking to Dexter's father.

  • @Twiggymaster666 same here!!!

  • i miss this show

  • You have no idea how much I loved these two as a kid.

The episode of Dexter's Laboratory where the Blue Falcon brings a broken Dynomutt was so disturbing, yet awesome.

  • Loved this show as a kid! Dynomutt may have had "technical difficulties" at times, but he meant well.

  • @wsbtam Same here!

    He was so adorable. xD

  • copy off scooby doo

  • @StewartMiller101 Both were created by the same guy Iwao Takamoto. Takamoto created a number of dog characters including scooby, dynomutt, goober and a lot more. Scooby just turned out to be the most successful of his creations.

  • This is a cool cartoon, I really enjoyed it. Hanna Barbera cartoons are the best.

  • YO INSPECTOR GADGET COPIED THIS GUY , DAM I HATE PIGGYBACKS BUT I KNOW DINO MUTT WAS FIRST , SO I GUESS NOBODY CARES ANYWAY OR DIDN'T NOTICE THAT SHIT.

  • It would surprise me if a Dynomutt movie will be made.

I wonder who would play Blue Falcon?

  • The Blue Falcon - The Batman of the Hanna Barbera Universe

  • Legendary show! Classic of the genre! Radley Crowne/The Blue Falcon is the real hero. Dynomutt is very funny and savvy! We can say a lot of good things about this really fantastical show, so I'll be brief: Amazing story and graphics! Dynomutt and The Blue Falcon, Go!!!

  • did you know the same person who made this used this as his inspiration for inspector gadget

  • 7 People Wish They Were Go-Go Dogs.

  • 0:02 to 0:07 sounds just like Scooby Doo theme's first seconds :D

  • @Arcadeprehacked the two cartoons were packaged together originally

  • The Intro song sounds like the scooby doo show.

  • @toshii5

It's a fact because it had originally been part of "The Scooby-Doo / Dynomutt Hour" in 1976.

  • Perfect pet for inspector Gadget

  • This was a great spoof cartoon ,always sounded like dynomutt was saying b.s. to Blue falcon and Blue falcon with those corny chicken feet boots. He had no real power's or skill's that would seperate him from the norm.We only have one funny cartoon out now and that is Sponge Bob,the writer's of that show deserve aplause for brining humor back to the kid's instead of all the unfunny weird Japanamation.

  • i love this cartoon , they should bring it back on boomerangs line up!

  • i never noticed this til just now but the beginning is very similar to Scooby and Scrappy

  • @majinish

You ever heard of "The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour"? This show was the other half of that block when it originally aired on ABC in 1976.

  • @ClassicTVMan81 yeah i saw that. i even saw the cross episode. i think it was a scooby episode and dynomutt and Blue Falcon was on there.

  • @majinish

There were three episodes of Dynomutt which featured Scooby and his gang: The first two episodes and the tenth, respectively titled "Everyone Hyde!" (9/11/76), "What Now, Low Brow?" (9/18/76) and "The Wizard of Ooze" (11/13/76), but the pair didn't show up on any main Scooby episodes.

  • @ClassicTVMan81 i actually remember one scooby episode as a crossover of the two

  • @majinish

The only other show I know of with Scooby-Doo, Dynomutt and Blue Falcon together is "Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics" (1977), retitled as "Scooby's All-Stars" (1978) and again as "(Scooby's) Laff-A-Lympics" for syndication in 1980.

What exactly is the show you're referring to? And don't forget about Scooby's redneck cousin (aka brother) Scooby-Dumb, who also tends to borrow from Edgar Bergen's Mortimer Snerd.

  • @ClassicTVMan81 honestly i cant remember the name of the episode. it might have been a Dynomutt episode but it had Scooby on the opening title screen

  • @majinish

I think you're talking about the original bridging title from 1976, which marked the start of this segment. That had last been seen on USA Cartoon Express (think 1984-92) reruns of some of the first 16 episodes of Dynomutt.

  • WAY better than what they show nowadays!

... I wonder if Blue Falcon knows Captain Falcon...?

  • Aqui se conocieron como Fabulman y el perro dinamita

  • Hahahaha! Why Astro from the Jetsons is wearing mask, mittens and a cape?

Yeah, I remember seeing this toon on CN first broadcasts, it was good, but Dynomuth surely was annoying.

  • This would and SHOULD be the next Hanna-Barbera cartoon to be a live-action film...of course, it took a LONG time for "Hong Kong Phooey" to be put in development...

  • classic and ORIGINAL never forget them:)

  • I still am dying to see the original opening credits of "The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour" as well as the bridge title covering this particular segment of that block. I'll probably have gray hair by the time that's found here.

  • You're not the only one looking for the original Scooby/Dynomutt theme. I was So extremely disappointed when the DVD box didn't even include one run of the theme as a bonus on the package at very least. C'mon guys, if you're going to put this stuff out-do it right!

  • Hahaha!! Dynomutt is a SO SO brains!

  • I remember seeing these guys on dexters laboratory

  • Nothing is better than the 1976 original version.

  • I wish that they put more work into Blue Falcon and made him a better hero and left out Dynomutt. I agree with bbo40, it was lame.

  • He was a goofy eediot

  • I never quite understood what "Dyno" meant in his name. My guess is that it's a reference to "Dynamite". But of course I could be wrong.

  • Dynomutt was an super Devo humor Robotic Dog Superhero friend of the Blue-Falcon! It was inspired to created the cartoons of Inspector Gadget as DiC's true story has it! SInce Japanese Astro-Boy!

  • H-B gave The Three Stooges the same powers on The Skatebirds a year later.

  • go, go, dog, or go, go, gadget?

  • Why does he sound like he's deaf?

  • "go,go,dog person"was sorta toungue in cheek by the announcer, probably because d.m. wanted to be human

  • Even as a 10 yr old I thought this cartoon was LAME!

  • Deadomutt

  • Feelin nostalgic

  • Aw, this brings back good memories. I love this.

  • Heh, it was cool that Dyno was BF's sidekick and yet the dog was the show's star.

  • At 0:46 minutes, Dynomutt sat on the detonator (of the bomb) and exploded! I thought the detonator aint suppose to explode but the (remotely controlled) bomb. Beats me.

  • He's a Go-go dog person!

  • He's a go go dog!.... person?

  • Call me Old Mr Sceptical if you like but I think you're talking a lot of tommy-rot.

  • Dynomutt´s voice was made by Frank Welker.

  • How would Dynomutt have fared if Caroll Spinney (Sesame Street's Big Bird) were to have done his voice instead of Frank Welker?

  • Cool cartoon!!!

  • As a kid, I loved watching these Hanna Barbera cartoons, shown hours in a row, on Saturday mornings on the Nine Network here in Australia.

  • Am I tripping, or did I see Captain Falcon from F-zero?

  • No! He is BLUE Falcon.

I was remembering him being the protagonist and Dynomutt his cloumsy assistant.

  • It's a GO GO DOG Person !

    :)

  • Another great oldie but goodie.

  • The show was from 1976, the same year as 'The Scooby-Doo Show' debuted. Some ABC stations aired them as a double-play.

  • It was a full-hour show; Scooby's segment aired first and Dynomutt's last. Starting December 4, 1976, a rerun of "Scooby-Doo Where Are You!" was added to the block, expanding it to 90 minutes.

  • Also, the themes for the shows were probably made by the same composer. They share the same progression, I think, and a couple musical cues.

  • Blue Falcon will be played by Johnny Knoville of "Jackass".

  • Dynomutt will be played by Andy Dick.

  • COME AAWN!

    BRUUUUEE FAWLCOOOON!

  • BLUE FALCON!!!

  • He's A Go-Go kind of GUY!

  • Gary Owen (Space Ghost) and Frank Welker (Fred Jones) are pure classic voice acting at it best.

  • , ,s,c,k mx

  • loved this cartoon as a child.

  • What on earth does "he's a go-go-dog-person" even mean? Always bugged me as a kid.

  • Go go dog person probably means something like "To be on the go," or something.

  • Definitely. Well said.

  • In spanish was ¨Fabulman y dinamita el perro maravilla¨ ha ha ha

  • thats scooby doo's theme

  • actually the first few seconds are the rest is original.

  • Not all the rest is orginal, you can hear some of the same tune as when shaggy says *hang around for scooby doo*

But I see what you're saying

  • yea I see what your saying too.

  • COME ON!

    BLUE FALCON!

  • Dynomutt, Dog Wonder is my BEST superhero ever in my life.

    DYNOMUTT ROCKS FOREVER!!

  • Dynomutt, Dog Wonder ROCKS!!

  • hm, I remember this...I used to watch this when I was little.

  • BLUE FALCON AND DYNOMUTT!

  • need some episodes posted...

  • I kind of recognize Dynomutt.

  • blue falcon tss...

    captain falcon was first...

  • Great to see Dynomutt made it to youtube. Never got the recognition it deserved. Good stuff.

  • When I was little I just assumed he was somehow connected to Inspector Gadget.

  • Great Intro, Gary Owens is a great narrator. His voice is just time-less. They should release a DVD of just Dynomutt episodes.

  • And hopefully, some of the 1976-77 episodes will have the original 30-sec segment intro and original "Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour" end credits (like how USA Network treated this show from 1984-92).

  • i love this show!!

  • Terrible writing, but terrific design and nice concept.

  • dynomutt is much better deserving to be on big screen than underdog..

blue falcon, space ghost, birdman vs thundarr the barbarian.. hehehe! the best!

  • Dynomutt, you rock!!

    I love you so much.

  • blue falcone???

  • Actually, it's:

Flashing through the sky, he's a go-go guy

Stronger than a train with a so-so brain

Uh, you talking 'bout me Blue Falcon? Gosh...

He's fearless, scareless, little too careless

    Dynomutt! He's a go-go dog person

    That's me, Dog Wonder! *laughs*

He's fearless, scareless, little too careless

    Dynomutt! He's a go-go dog person

    That's me, Dog wWnder! *laughs*

  • O.K. that's fine; but I thought I heard "ever so careless" and not "little too careless" or am I wrong?

  • I think he said "little too careless". The "L's" in "little" really stuck out to me.

  • After listening to it a couple of times -

"a little too careless" is what it sounds like.

I'm not arguing nor quibbling, am jut stating what I heard.

I definitely heard "little too careless" though.

  • I remember watching a dexter's lab episode with dynomutt and blue falcon(the character, not captain falcon's racer),and dexter(i dont remember the episode very well)i think he took dynomutt apart and blue falcon got PISSED!

  • Oh, that was a funny one! Dynomutt was fine by the end of the show.

  • yeah,me and by brother were laughing so hard,my bro fell and hit his head.LOL!

  • If I remember right, the Blue Falcon brought Dynomutt to Dexter to have him repaired afer a battle. Dexter decided to scrap the original because he was so inferior and created a new vastly superior Dynomutt that went out of control like that one robot in the Robocop movie. Then the orininal Dynomutt was reactivated and saved the day.

  • oh,yeah! Now I remember! thanks sooperdon!

  • i went on amazon and saw a scooby doo/ dynomutt hour complete series dvd set avaliable but only on region 1

  • ioph3- not in the uk that is. i'll check online anyway to see

  • I love Dyno's CRAZY laugh... FrankWelker is one of the best voice artists BAR NONE!

  • Comment removed

  • lol i used to know someone who kinda talked like dynomutt

  • hanna barbera should release this on dvd

  • hana barbera personalties are rather really extinct.

  • It is out on DVD.

  • A go-go dog-person.

  • my mates think i made this one up ...wait till i prove them wrong ..cheers youtube lol

  • you know as a kid you think this is a great amazing show....and now i see and am like...."how did i watch this show"

haha it brings back good memories though haha

  • For years I thought I'd imagined this, until I found out it really existed.

  • LOL

  • Taken to 10 yrs back. cartoon network aired it.

  • This is among my favourite cartoons of the 70's, Along with "The New Schmoo". I actually enjoy most Hanna-Barbera cartoons, With the exception of "The Great Grape Ape Show".

  • The second segment of "The New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show" wasn't your favorite? Why not??

  • I found "The Great Grape Ape Show" to be dull, lifeless and bland. Oh, and I don't like "The Hair Bear Bunch" either.

  • "Thomas! Do you have that little white mouse under there?" "I knew it! You bad, bad cat!"

  • blue falcon should have his wiring checked

  • Professor Gadget + Scooby-Doo = Dynomutt

  • It's worth mentioning that its likely that Blue Falcon (Dynomutt's master) closely resembles a character from the anime called Gatchaman, which in America has undergone so many name changes and so forth. But we all know that he was inspired by Batman. Also, in F-Zero, the "Blue Falcon" is also the name of the futuristic sports car driven by Captain Falcon.

  • Dynomutt, a machine created to resemble a clumsy canine with a goofy personality and a "Barney the Dinosaur" like voice. Although not very intelligent compared to other robotic superheroes, he is definitely superior to ordinary human beings as well as ordinary dogs. Sometimes I find it strange that he serves a master who's entirely human.

  • Actually, his voice (supplied by Frank Welker) was Bullwinkle Moose-like.

  • If there's one thing I'd like to see is a diagram and blue-prints of Dynomutt's design.

  • boomerang should start showing this again. I just upgraded so i could get Boomerang. So far the line up is pretty dull.

  • Lol you guys should see what they did to the Blue Falcon in Harvey Birdman..xD

  • Yeah. He was given a French accent!

  • no it was a spanish accent

  • the makers of cartoon network died

  • and so did all the great shows that came with

  • The Spanish dubbing of Dynomutt has even a subtle joke in the selection of the voice actor: It's the same actor who voiced the dubbing of Burt Ward's "Robin" in the Adam West version of "Batman"... Robin being the *Boy Wonder*, the same actor doing a sillier voice would seem appropiate for a sidekick parody...

  • Damn, I loved watching this show...and hell, I went nuts when they had an episode of "Dexter's Laboratory" when Blue Falcon and DynoMutt show up.

I still wonder when we'll get a feature film...

  • OMG, I remeber that one! XD

    That show was soooo funny!

  • actually its a pretty good show...like most of the cartoons that were out during its time. And a hell of a lot better than what they show now.

  • When I was a kid, I thought that the show should have been called "Blue Falcon."

  • The working title of this show was "Blue Falcon & Dynomutt."

  • Yeah, given that he seems to be the main character despite the title. But as the title implies, it's more about the robotic dog who we know today as the predecessor of Inspector Gadget.

  • I know, but I was 3 or 4 when I first saw this.

  • this was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. do you have any of the episodes you could upload? i'd love to see it again!

  • I don't havem. Sorry

  • there were episodes where Scooby and the gang actually appeared.

  • Those episodes were the first two, "Everyone Hyde" and "What Now, Low Brow," and one other, "The Wizard of Ooze."

  • Grape Ape...Grape Ape!

    ooops... wrong cartoon.

  • Yeah gotta love Frank Welker, the man of 1000 voices. Dynomutt is awesome but Scooby Doo still rules!
