I wish I had said this earlier, but a month a few week after Woodstock, their was a similar festival in Texas called "The Texas International Pop Festival."

It was like their own version of "Woodstock."

40 yrs , as i was heading back to Canada but did not stop at Woodstock ,i did get to see some of the musicians later on in Montreal including J.Hendrix , i think you would have been right at home 40 yrs ago as your voice matches that era , yes i like your voice ,thank you for rolling back the time , peace and flowers ,Jack !!!

According to Wikipedia, which isn't the best source, Various people have claimed to have written it, such as "Dino Valenti" but is copyrighted under "Billy Roberts" as early as 1962.

Another person who has been mentioned as a song writer is scottish folk singer "Len Partridge". So if anyone out there knows anything else, please let us know.
