Man this is awesome! I was only 6 when this concert took place, but I would give just about anything to see them like this! I say they do an "only punk era" tour sometime! It won't happen, but we can dream...
Anyone that knows enough about music would tell you that this EP has a very similar sound to early Misfits albums like Earth A.D. It's just straight up horror punk, I mean the second song on the EP is a cover of HALLOWEEN...so yeah I don't see how at least this EP is not considered horror punk. If you notice AFI changes their style of playing, or "genre", ever few albums. So they may not be punk or horror punk now, but they certainly were at this point in their careers.
This is how a show should fucking look like this. I hate when you see a show and a band pours its soul out to the crowd and they just stand there taking pictures and trying to "immortalize" that memory. How about you immortalize it by living in the fucking moment and losing yourself in thier sound?
The performances in the AoD era were not only better then, than nowadays because of the band but also because they had such an amazing crowd response. It's really rather disparaging to see all these new "fans" who have no knowledge of songs that came before Miss Murder.
I was there. The Distillers opened for them. I miss Club Laga soooo much! The days that Laga had shows were the best days of my life! I remember the bass player from AFI grabbed my brother by the neck when he went up on stage and chucked him back into the audience. We kinda hated AFI after that. It was a great time, regardless.
Holy shit...That was amazing. They preformed so well. I mean, I already knew AFI was amazing on stage but that...I'm in awe. For those of you that were there...
Wow...Club Laga...they turned it to an appartment building that Pitt students rent out...I am living there next year...to know that awesomeness occured just under my feet is surreal...amazing..
Man...I was there and this brings back some memories. It was the best show I've ever been to. I cant even remember who played with them that night. It makes me depressed watching this and thinking about all the bands I saw at cluba laga and now its gone. and AFI, well they might as well be gone too. But awesome that someone posted this. Thanks alot man.
Death by stereo opened for them I know that. Forget the other band(s).. what a fucking show.. goddamn this shit makes me feel old... loved being a kid going to shows not giving a fuck about the real world... okay i'll stop or ima cry lol.
The whole show was awesome! Thanks for posting this! Of course me and a friend were in the back enjoying a few drinks while the A.F.I guys just fucking killed! Was anyone else at the show besides the guy who posted this?

dude this is depressing.
Look how much of a badass hardcore punk rock band AFI was, and now look at them - an emo wannabe band.
