I have seen MB live and enjoyed his concerts and his albums and I buy them and I am a real supporter. However, I have seen countless YoutTube and other videos of him now where he keeps going off key and as a singing teacher I feel that may be he is not doing proper practice and is now relying on past efforts for his voice does not appear to be as beautiful as it once was when I first heard him. No disrespect intended MB!

@JLSLFC If you listen to this performance, you can tell that his notes are pushed and he is off key. I have noticed that some of the musicians who worked with him in NZ said that he was great to work with but he had a tendency to go off key in some "easy" places.

I disagree entirely with what you are saying, he was vocally a better singer at 20-30 but now he has learnt great entertainer/performing skills and doesn't focus in on vocals. He might go up and down with the arrangements and sing them differently but isn't flat here, anyone who has perfect pitch will tell you this. Doubt you're a singing teacher. Just some troll on the internet.

@Anaconda43VR You can disagree if you want. But if you solo Mikes voice then use a pitch correction unit like Melodyn or auto-tune then you will see I am sooo right. Yes I am a singing teacher in New Zealand. In any case you have proved my point. You said that he was a better singer when younger. Great singers should get better with age, like Paul Anka or at least not go off key. But he goes off and you have said so, he was better younger. Most of the singers I know getting better with time.

I'm not saying hee's not off key sometimes; Everyone goes off key. Everyone other than opera singers who train for about 20 years. He's certainly not 'off key' here like you said.

'Great singers should get better with age'. What is this nonsense? Great singers like Frank Sinatra, Mariah Carey, or even Michael sang a lot better when they were in their 20's. Paul Anka. ROFL. Probably the most overrated crooner ever isn't really the standard for being a great singer.

@Anaconda43VR Sinatra never went off key in all his live performances. If he hadn't drunk and smoked so much his voice would have been amazing until he was old. Look at Johnny Mathis at 73 what an amazing voice. Besides you can see Buble's tension. Something that you never see in Sinatra, Anka, or Dean Martin. I have taken great interest in these singers for 24 years of my life and studied under the late Mark Hayden the great international singing teacher. By who are you to call me a troll?

MB is a great performer and entertainer but his voice is going through some terrible challenges that if you were to interview his singing teacher his words were these to me " He does nothing of what I taught him.....he is a naughty boy!" Its been lovely speaking to you but you do not seem to be mature enough to talk about the subject matter in a civil manner.

If you feel insulted, then I apologize. Ok, he might be the shadow of himself from his late teens - 32yrs old. He's a better performer/entertainer now, and IMO still the best male singer funnily enough - which speaks volumnes on how good he really was. But I think him getting worse has helped him get more success; It's not about vocals anymore.

@Anaconda43VR That's my point. I am a singing teacher and I am 41. My voice was great. Now its even better. The voice should only thin out as you get older. Paul Ankas voice is so much better now. I was not insulted I was just amazed that you didn't know me but would call me a troll and doubt that I taught music. I just found that immature and a bizarre thing to do with no logical reason to do that. Thank you for appears to be an apology:-)

Michael's voice is extraordinary though. IMO his voice is the best i've ever heard (however Sinatra is the better singer) and if anyone can get away with things, he can because his voice is that good.

@Anaconda43VR MB has a good voice as far as popular voices go. I would listen to him over most other artists. Indeed like I said in the beginning I buy his albums. I am simply interested in the health of the voice and there are very few singers who sing as healthily as they could.
