His point is that we have this ridiculous idea of God and how he is impossible to please, or how that has been the impression in the past. He's trying to point out that ridiculousness as being false. The truth is that God takes joy in anything that we take joy in. If you at least TRY to do something for Him or even for your fellow man, then He is happy too. God doesn't play these silly games that a lot of people think He does.

Paul said that if anyone preaches another Gospel, let thm be accursed, that is one reason why you cannot Biblically stand with Roman Catholicism, as they preach Mary as Co-redemtrix, works based salvation through the sacraments, instead of grace through Faith in Jesus Christ, they think they re-sacrifice Jesus wit the mass, tho Hebrews said He died once for all sin. I'd love not have to divide from people, but the truth is, we cannot have unity of the spirit, true unity, with that which is false

You do not know me, you are under a false assumption. Christ himself said, "Judge not, lest ye not be judged." I am a follower of Christ who strives to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. I just happen to have a different interpretation of Rob Bell, and wanted to have some discussion.

If you can't even address the questions I've asked you, I think that it's sad you enjoy the self-confidence and pride of jumping to conclusions and playing the role of Accuser.

There is only one thing you should know about Rob Bell, it is that he is not saved from sin; he is still a sinner and child of the devil. This man speaks some of the most evil blasphemous lies have heard from any professing Christian, even when compared to those of the Catholic cult.

1.  According to whom is Rob Bell speaking blasphemies?

2. What is wrong with the Catholic Church?

3. Is your church perfect?

You are not saved from sin, my friend, are you.....You have neither met nor experienced Jesus Himself, and no amount of explanation from someone is who one of God's people would make it clear for you. You have to be saved from sin, unto God first, before you will ever understand.

Wow! That's quite a statement to make. You're telling someone you've never met that they're not saved, that they haven't experienced Jesus Christ and that a Christian minister is a 'child of the devil'. How would you know that, Mr. BroJustin? Has God told you that? Have you studied theology in depth to understand what is 'evil blasphemy', or are you just regurgitating what you've heard from someone else? If I were you, I'd start reading your Bible (perhaps you might find out who Jesus was...)

I can see both sides of the story here.

1. some of Rob Bell's theology is slightly dodgy as in the nooma video 'Dust' he claims that Peter sunk because he lost faith in himself rather than in God which is an alternate and in some denominations mistaken piece of Theology, I on the other hand think it is a valid point but the key reason peter sunk was because he took his eyes off God.

1. (cont) however though Bell's theology is different does not make it invalid and as long as his theology is concurrent with the bible then I dont see a problem with him

2. As for the Catholic Church, there are many things wrong, the (in some eyes) worship of mary, the idea that a priest must pray for your sins to be forgiven, and the idea of purgatory are some things i can think of, however in my opinion we should unite in similarity rather than seperate in our differences.

3. My church is not perfect. but in the words of Andy Croft; you can't find the perfect church but if you did you couldnt join it because you'd ruin it.
