Totally agree, Steve Martin was a great idea. Did you forget to include the Supertroopers' "enhance, clicketyclick" - bit? That would have been the clincher...
Sure wish you would put this up with just the audio from the moves instead of including the background track. Also lose the sub-titles. Other than that very good job.
@IAMVJBLAZE Thanks. Subtitles can be turned off. You might need to change your settings so they don't display by default. If I removed my music you would still hear the background music from the original clips.
@dunk3d Thanks for the response, I'm aware that some clips would have the movies original background music, but also some wouldn't. Anything to save time as I dig for material ya know..... I know how long it takes to pull all these clips.
@dunk3d It's awesome just like you made it. The background music you used ties all them together, if it wasn't there it would seem like a jumbled mess of clips. Well done! I laughed my AO.
@burlong01 star trek does belong. If information is not there then it is simply not there. Future technology can't enhance information that isn't there. It's like if you had a book with every other page missing. You could only piece together so much of the story. Note: some sort of space time traveling enhancement machine like they had in Deja Vu with Denzel Washington would actually be able to do hollywood enhancement.
@codefaker But you can't know what technology they used to take the photograph in star trek. It is most likely far beyond anything that exists today. There could be information and there could not be. We don't know because it is hypothetical future technology.
@burlong01 well of course they can "enhance" if the information is there stored some how, but I if it is not then any enhancement will be an educated guess. Future technology can't make up for a poor quality image or missing information. That's all I am saying.
LOL! Using Kevin Costner in No Way Out is great. First movie based on the enhancing the image and it takes the length of the whole damn movie to process the image.
This may be one of those 'congratulating a fat woman on her pregnancy' moments, but.......1:03.....is that guys face for real? he looks more caricature that most cartoons. Videos like this must take an age to put together, I really enjoyed it.
1:12 is still my fav. way beyond pointless and dumb. Replace "rotate 180 degrees" with "do we have a camera on the other side". The answer is likely yes cause it's a high end store with really expensive stuff (supposedly). they probably have a camera in all 4 corners. "yeah, okay give me all cameras at this time mark" they can get to the same end and not look stupid
@TheDoctorOz The first one I thought of was Broken Lizard! They should end it with that scene, or I will set fire to their country music award! Great catch, Doc!
dunk3d, have you ever seen the show Las Vegas? That series has /so/ many examples that you could probably create an entire video from it just by itself.
lol at IT faggots and Photography / Communication faggs that dont know the true intentions of the evil media, they are using an scare tactic so people feel more watched over than already are, leading them in to believing that the state is all omnipotent whit their unexistant technology.
@tjb0607 Er, any image can be de-blurred with the approperiate inverse filter; for example an inverse filter mask in combination with a Wiener filter can "de-blur" the image to a reasonable state :P
The Rock did this in Fast Five. Not only did he enhance, he somehow examines the facial structures and identifies the Fast Five team through their ski masks.
I'm having trouble making out some of the video. Is here any way to somehow make the image larger, sharper and clearer? Some sort of computer-based system that would scan the images and then make them easier to see the details in them?
If not, someone should invent that, they could make a fortune with it in crime analysis and forensics.
This level of image enhancement is really possible. You only need a geometrical analysis algorithm combined with a duplex photon prediction matrix and a vector-bitmap intensifier layer to quadruple the output of the visual AI quantum-neural network . Note that not anybody could use that, this stuff is meant for 14-year olds that can hack the CIA-mainframe in at least 45 seconds and can type at least 8 keys per second.
Enhancement, for the most part, doesn't work. There is no way we could determine a detailed reflection of a man holding a basketball within a handfull of pixels. Sure, you might be able to make some simple extrapolations that make a someones face (for example) look more detailed, or to delete a person from a background, but most of these enhancements you see in NCIS, etc. are not actually possible without further data.
@dnc316 A few commenters have complained the music is too loud. This is why. It does interfere at times but these scenes usually have similar music so I kind of get away with it. I had to fade the audio levels either side of the dialogue on some clips. Other clips, like one from Charlie's Angels, I had to leave out altogether.
@dnc316 oh, it's pretty complex, but you have to double enhance the film audio so you can track sweep the soundbits. It works really well if you can demodify the excess audio pixellation.
