Ive played WoW since the start, and i gotta say,dont get me wrong WoW fans,the game still has its good elements, but Age of COnan is not better either. id say both actually are equal.Both have diffrent elements wich make them good games. If u think that only AoC has very amazing graphics, pvp, leveling, questing, raiding systems and etc. Then you should try out WoW Cataclysm. Silkroad and AoC graphics are not even comparable. And I think that most of people decides from first look, you should go in deeper. WoW is like your standard MMO, point and click and grind for hours, rediculusly over colored gear, and mounts and it's got annoying little kids on it.
0:20 Looks to me like its the Dragon Onyxia, i used to play wow back when level 60 was the cap. My guild used to farm Onyxia for Tier 2 Helms, she was a tough Dragon to kill until we got the routine down, we used 2 tanks to hold aggro and turned Onyxia so that she faced the wall. It was hard to hold aggro sometimes as knockback would clear the aggro table (obviously i was a Tank). I had fun playing these raids, we really felt like we accompllished something when we worked as a large team.
i played both and i prefer AoC when i play WoW it feels like i do same thing over and over all the time in both pve and pvp pve its just kill same thing all the time pvp its just horde that wins mayby alliance in some server but still its 1sided

Everyones tastes are different, some like AoC, some like WoW.... Although I personally think if AoC hadn't suffered a failure at launch it could have been a serious contender to the MMO crown from the outset. (I believe they released it too early as there were so many bugs) while I agree all new release MMO's have bugs, I have never seen as many as I saw in AoC. AoC is clawing back, but the release did damage the credibilty of the game and it has taken time for them to regain subscribers.
aoc have the best graphics and im kinda a graphics guy so i like aoc...but wow have the people so if you like 2 be with people go for WoW but i you like graphics go for AOC....thats my advice....good video btw the only wow vs aoc video that is fair and makes sense...

Greed, all mmos are about fighting mobs to get equips to get better equips so you can fight tougher mobs to get better equips, and maybe some pvp, when you get down to it.

There are raids. It`s Raid guilds like wow and same stuff:) the only different is that wow has bader graphic and stuff. And wow is no longer a mid age game. Coas who got a Motorcycle in the mid age?
The fact is AoC had its chance and failed. I played for a few weeks when it opened, found out it sucked and left. WoW is way better. At least WoW has mostly seamless world. AoC's world is chopped up horribly.
After a few patches the game has basically made a 180 and has become the game it was meant to be from the beginning. I would suggest giving it another try.
They may have improved the game play some but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't AOC is still heavily zoned and instanced? I imaging that would be hard to fix.

AoC is not as good as it looks, i used to be on youtube looking on aoc gameplay, but the only thing they show is the fataleties. I wanted it so bad and went to a friends house and tried it. It is NOT the same thing as you for example se on this vid, and especially the conversation thing suck. Without blood, AoC is nothing.
I've never played AoC before, and been playing WoW for 3 years now, most say that AoC looks better, same thing for LOTRO, graphics sucks to me but the people in lotro r more fun to play with, I agree when it comes to WoW beeing for kids. Oh well that's just my opinion. :D

AoC's first expansion may beat WoW's current ones but all Blizzard has to do is look at what they messed up about it what players didnt like/wanted and put it in there expansion. Games will copy Games, if AoC lasts it and WoW will have a tough battle in the future.
Funcom has changed the game alot with fixed and updates and new content, it's totally another different experience when u play it and also a big project is on the way to make sure all bugs are fixed and give the game improvements + an expansion is coming, and both these 2 things are coming out this year, the project will soon be out i think, maybe on the summer or earlier and the expansion like in the end of this year i'm returning to this game now

Age of Conan falls apart after level 20. The pvp is kinda fun but overall it's not even close to the same level of "social" as WoW. Maybe after a few expansions they could give you some depth and not just grinding rinse and repeat quests. Too many of the "dungeons" can be run solo, it's a pretty lonely game.
Not to mention AoC ripped off so much from the WoW interface I can't ennumerate in this post. Right down to the chat text colors being identical.

I play both games. Social aspect of WoW much more developped, although AoC is really refreshing in terms of everything.
I play WoW for the Social Aspect.
I play AoC for the immersion.

Don't get me wrong, I really planned to try out AoC.
But after I've seen this, I gotta say I love the aggro aspect in wow.
With all the Tanks, DDs and Healers.
I like the aspect of having loads of skills.
I hate the patches making the game worse and worse.

WoW is supposed to be a fantasy game... but if u ask me the only thing i see is a big fuck up and a lot of little kids pretending their ub3r cool! :p
When i play WoW, i don' t feel like im in the game... especially when u see the gigantic shoulder pads with electric and fire bursting out of them and then the magic carpets and then finally the fucking idiot who decided to add Planes and Motorbikes...
So lame.

@HalfCAB969 When i play i dont go for topless computer women.. id rather take my girlfriend, but anyways. AoC PvP and PvE is so stiff and slow... its about how fun you make it yourself.. but really, WoW PvE and PvP is alot faster and funnier, cooler spells etc etc.

when I first started to play AoC I felt already from start that this was way different then wow in a good way. The grafic is better and the quality of the nature and fighting style and all. God I love this game more then WoW, gonna start with it again soon, cause Wotlk is really booring imo....

eh i like wow but ive gotten to level 80 and i just don't think creating a new character would do the job so... i looked at lotro and it makes me puke in my mouth and uhhh.... war hammer is kinda gay.... and well everything else is... but! aoc has rly nice pvp i like the way you fight in the game and i also like the fact that u can cut peoples heads off to show them who is boss! and yes i think if u live in Germany or north America u can get 10xs more blood gore and nudity!

There are raids. It`s Raid guilds like wow and same stuff:) the only different is that wow has bader graphic and stuff. And wow is no longer a mid age game. Coas who got a Motorcycle in the mid age?

The fact is AoC had its chance and failed. I played for a few weeks when it opened, found out it sucked and left. WoW is way better. At least WoW has mostly seamless world. AoC's world is chopped up horribly.

After a few patches the game has basically made a 180 and has become the game it was meant to be from the beginning. I would suggest giving it another try.

So it's a seamless world like WoW now? When I played it was far from seamless. In fact the zones weren't even roughly contiguous. If they really changed that I'll try it again, but somehow I think you are BSing me.

AoC is not as good as it looks, i used to be on youtube looking on aoc gameplay, but the only thing they show is the fataleties. I wanted it so bad and went to a friends house and tried it. It is NOT the same thing as you for example se on this vid, and especially the conversation thing suck. Without blood, AoC is nothing.

I've never played AoC before, and been playing WoW for 3 years now, most say that AoC looks better, same thing for LOTRO, graphics sucks to me but the people in lotro r more fun to play with, I agree when it comes to WoW beeing for kids. Oh well that's just my opinion. :D

Have you eve played WoW and got to lvl 80, been in raids, fought in battlegrounds, done world pvp? WoW actually is better because of the content and strategy in it. It gets serious when you do a big raid into a dungeon. You can spot the "little kids" because they are noobs and cant play for shit.

WoW has been out for years (and will be for many more) remember wow is in the same time as AoC sure AoC will get better and what not, but whos to say WoW wont at the same time? AoC's first expansion may beat WoW's current ones but all Blizzard has to do is look at what they messed up about it what players didnt like/wanted and put it in there expansion. Games will copy Games, if AoC lasts it and WoW will have a tough battle in the future.
Next wow expansion is prob already in the works.

Funcom has changed the game alot with fixed and updates and new content, it's totally another different experience when u play it and also a big project is on the way to make sure all bugs are fixed and give the game improvements + an expansion is coming, and both these 2 things are coming out this year, the project will soon be out i think, maybe on the summer or earlier and the expansion like in the end of this year i'm returning to this game now

Age of Conan falls apart after level 20. The pvp is kinda fun but overall it's not even close to the same level of "social" as WoW. Maybe after a few expansions they could give you some depth and not just grinding rinse and repeat quests. Too many of the "dungeons" can be run solo, it's a pretty lonely game.
Not to mention AoC ripped off so much from the WoW interface I can't ennumerate in this post. Right down to the chat text colors being identical.

Why u may ask?
Well:
-Farming is some booring ass SHIT.
-Instances are even more booring ass.
-Pvp is to repetetive.
- And last but not least: The frikin Kids!
Age of conan gives the player different ways to kill a Monster/human or something else.
And the Pvp is extemly fun :D
And there are ALMOST no kids.

wow was THE GAME for me until i saw AoC , i guess i got sick and tired of all the under 14 years playes in wow (and there are a lot), the outdated graphics and the addons that don't really bring new elements just new raids or dungeons (that are exactly the same as the ones before just easyer and new skins for bosses). really its all opinion. Well really its mostly a fact that aoc has better graphics. But the agruements come from gameplay. I personally like aoc gameplay better. but hey it depends what you like. Do you like a relaxing combat system that dosent require much or do you want a more complicated system requiring you to work? and ever since the server murges aoc is extremly poped on every server. I some times find it annoying becasue theres to many damn people every where:D
