Luv her & this program...amazing spirals (flexibility) & footwork, though i can see why she didn't attempt Lutz jumps in 2010 (olympics & worlds) because her Lutz jumps even here were actually flips...she can't seem to take off on that outside edge (same prob w/Sasha, Sarah, Tara...at times Michelle, Irina...never happened w/Maria, Surya, Joannie, Yuna, etc)

As much as I loved Miki's performance that night, I thought Mao was the winner here. I loved her face after she finished her performance. ^^

i think most of the fans of figure skating don´t like Mao Asada because in early age she was very famous and all the attention by the audience and journalist is for her and not for other skaters like yuna kim!! I love this girl she is UNIQUE, and FABOLUOS. And the more interesting thing about her is her FANTASTIC PERSONALITY, is impossible don´t like her!! that´s why i think yuna fans don´t like mao asada!!

That stupid commentator......"7 triples" - I think he will find it was 8. 2 triple lutz (single and in combo), 2 triple flips (again, single and in combo), triple loop, triple salchow, triple toe loop (with 2axel), and triple axel

excuse me! I guess you're the one being stupid here. When the hell did Mao do a salchow in that program? There was none! The commentator counted correctly - 2 Lutzes, 2 Flips, 1 Loop, 1 Toe-Loop and 1 Axel. So please open your eyes and don't insult the awesome British commentators, they're the best in the world.

He was saying 7 triples because one of them has been downgraded. That is triple toe from combination

wudnt have thought that triple TL after the DA wud have bn downgraded - she made the rotation, but the landing was 2 footed - I thot it was making the rotation thats vital under the new system even if you double foot it or fall? Thats y u c skaters attempt triples even if they re gonna fall, if u make rotation u still get credited the jump

i agree with you, that was her best LP in my opinion. If she hadn't double footed the triple axel-triple toe combo, she would be holding the highest LP score ever!!!!!!!!

Actually, The jump in 3:10 is a Triple Lutz (except it was on an inside ege, though there wasn't a mandatory deduction for wrong edge use back in World Championships in 2007

To get things more straight, her jumps were 3A, 2A + 3T(<), 3F + 3Lo, 2A, 3Lz, 3F, and 3Lz + 2Lo + 2Lo.

I think you had better look up some instructional videos on how to recognise jumps....that jump at 3:08 was MOST DEFINETLY a triple salchow - look at the free leg swinging past the take off foot at the start. If thats a lutz or a flip, its the craziest jump I 've ever seen

I'd like you then to check out ISU results (Youtube does not allow me to post site addresses -,.-;;) It clearly states that the jump was a 3Lz. Also, it is habitual of Mao to swing her free leg in her lutz/flip, so it can easily be confused with a 3 Salchow. But if you look at recent videos (NHK or GPF 2008) you would see that Mao executes the Triple Salchow differently than the jump around 3:10 ~ 3:20.

but she toed !!!
And the commentator also said it's a triple lutz. . Look at her entry , it's a common entry of triple lutz. Btw, her take-off edge is insided , so it's downgraded and it's flutz.
