However when Barney was killed by Freeman's satellite strike, Mary decided to go rogue in revenge against Barney's death only to find out the Combines were betraying the Rebels. This was really good. I was kinda surprised, because I expected some rubbish like many HL short films are, but this was just amazing. Very good music, very nice camera handling and perfect effects. Sure there were some places where it didn´t look perfekt (the desert battle with choppers and the rpg(my opinion)) but I unerstand that you were limited because of the engine.

What I found also very good was the story, the end was a very nice surprise and you used so many cool ideas. Thumbs up !

This is very rare among machinima. It's a very well made, dark and serious film. The animation and effects are both well done and the voices are excellent. The ending, however, was a bit disappointing. It was unexpected and it makes sense, but it still seems out of place.

This... didn't really make sense. The premise of the show was good, up until episode like episode 3 or something.

First off, It'd be impossible for the rebels to control the Synths such as gunships or striders, since they're organic, not just mechanical.

Second, I seriously doubt Gman would give Gordon his freedom after he defeated the Combine, seeing as how he was too valuable of an asset.

My only problem with the ending is continuity with the orignal series. Overall, it was well-made.

Well, you can't trust Metrocops. Also, the blue square thing - when Barney "died", he saw the true nature of the world - he "broke the fourth wall" and realised it was all a game, and there was no Gordon Freeman - only the player. Nothing existed within his world, so the fighting had no point. All he could do was end everything and everyone within the game.

The CP, which were human volunteers who worked for the Combine in exchange for relatively better treatment, are given a second chance due to a shortage of manpower. The CP, however, still harbored hatred for the rebels and conspired to overthrow them. That's the premise for the series, but, in my opinion, after episode 2, nothing made sense.

Well directed machinima, let down by an overly-ambitious, patchy and confusing storyline.

I really like the flashback sequences and some of the filtering was great!

Perhaps subtle narration would have helped (as it did in the opening Ep to set the scene).
