  • the eyebrows were not covered very well.

  • It looked like a brightly coloured mime at the end! I love it!

  • Totally using this for cosplay!

  • Wow. Mika's hands are so feminine. I really thought these were hands of a lady until the first "he" showed up. That's so great for a man to have such hands!

The make-up? Blending is insanely good, BUT. It was awesome looking until the additional blue lines came in. I personally think this ruined the whole feeling and the blue just seems off in this combo. Even if this is a clown-like look. But this is an IMHO and everyone has their own vision. :)

  • @doublemintkisses I completely agree. I wish he would have stopped while he was ahead. I find myself doing this in my own artwork.

  • Rather scary but a good way to advertise

  • amazing, this gives me so much inspiration :D

  • She looks like a clown.

  • What' the music from the video?

  • @emitrashbeat

I understand your point. In my opinion, I am not a fan of the design. I love the pencils. I think the possibilities are endless. I can't wait to use them on a shoot. They'll be really fun.

  • I think this look is a bit schizophrenic. It's not very modern or chic. I do like the pencils, but the design seems very amateur

  • @alexandreawest The look isn't supposed to be glamorous, chic or elegant like previously stated. It is supposed to be fun and creative inspired by the event My Clown taking place at the flagship store. Makeup doesn't always have to make the wearer look sophisticated and fashionable, it can be a form of self expression and creativity as well.

  • @alexandreawest EXACTLY! I like the texture of the pencils and would love to use them myself, but this is ugly, immature and unflattering, it does not look professional, the brows are sill showing. and they keep using that eye shape it's the same from their born again video UNFLATTERING.

  • Very nice!! Cirque de soliel inspired maybe??

  • I LOVE THIS

until he put those lines going down, then it freaked me out cause it reminded me of a clown n im hate/terrified of clowns but i still love it i love color this world needs more color n Mika knows it haha

  • Mika has much nicer nails than me.. :P

  • Aha, thank goodness. I was looking for an every day natural look.

Hah, but in all seriousness, very creative :)

I love the blending around the eyes and brows.

  • now thats how eyeliner should blend

  • I have to get me some of these

  • Great demo. What nail polish is the artist wearing?

  • Comment removed

  • Yea, he over did it with this one. The brows....the clown tears....

But the color combo on the eyes is just gorgeous.

  • the eyebrows were a bad clown look, but everything else was beautiful,

  • I loved everything minus everything he did in blue. I think it was still very creative & unique & showed his artistry without adding the all the blue.

  • He? Why do these hands seem feminine to me?

  • she looks like a clown but a pretty clown:)

  • oo, oo, oo, MIKA! Do me next, me next please! That looked like fun :D

  • i wish i could wear makeup like this without getting stared at!! i sooo would..

  • mika's left handed :D yay

  • LOVE this look. I will be recreating this look very soon!

  • @ZoeBethan13 - I was thinking the same thing. Those definatly did not look like Male hands.

  • @TheFizzylips I agree, and I find it amusing how many million smokey eye tutorials there are. If that is art, then making a sandwich is art too.

  • very nice tutorial :D

the only thing there could be better was the concealing of the eyebrows. They did show up pretty much :o

  • I love it! :3

  • Would have been nice if the model looked happy. LOL

  • 'Mika' the male has lovely hands/orange nails. Is that really a guy doing the makeup? lol I'm not being close-minded, if it is then he has lovely hands I love his nail colour! Anyway, I've dug a hole ... love the tutorial

  • This make-up is inspired by the 'My Clown' event Illamasqua are holding on June 4th in the Flagship Store. Supporting self-expression and the SOPHIE campaign.

For more info find the 'My Clown' on Facebook or on our 'Illamasqua Beak Street' Facebook group

  • With all due respect, a clown like style is not very pretty. Sorry I had to be honest, and as an Illamasqua user, it kind of puts me off...

  • @SandraLondon63

This is to show the versatility of the pencils and how creative you can be with them, Illamasqua is all about being dramatic and unique. Also, as themikadoll says, this look was inspired by the 'My Clown' event that helped raise funds and awareness for the SOPHIE campaign, you shouldn't be put off by it, you should embrace it's individuality :D

  • nice, but it would be nice to see more practical looks for day and evening since the majority will be using the products on a day to day basis. although i do appreciate the artistry but would like to see how i can use illamasque products on myself.

  • @9katmoore See the previous upload, a day to night-time transformation using the skin sketching method.

  • These pencils look fantastic.

  • amazing, i love how the colours are blended together <3

the versatility of the pencils are crazy

  • are these pencils designed to be used anywhere? thats amazing! love this channel! find illamasque inspirational!

  • @tiffbott41 Yes, even inside the waterline! Totally versatile.

  • loved it
