this sounds fine......if you listen to Usher when he's dancing he sounds out of breath at times.....there's no way when Milli Vanilli was a hit back in the late 80's that they coulduv danced as hard as they did and sounded perfect, even if they were great singers.....Rob and Fab were thrown under the bus unfairlly........
It was always interesting to me because Fab and Rob were pretty good. They could have just swept it under the rug like the Ashley Simpson debacle. It was a shame. They may not have performed their songs from that album but they could have, they had boy band talent.

But it sounds like Fab has been working really hard at improving his voice over the years. He sounds really good here. He did not sing on the original 1988 release of the song, but he and Rob released their own album in 1993, and he also had a solo album in 2003. This is his real voice - not the voices that were on the Milli Vanilli album.

this sounds fine......if you listen to Usher when he's dancing he sounds out of breath at times.....there's no way when Milli Vanilli was a hit back in the late 80's that they coulduv danced as hard as they did and sounded perfect, even if they were great singers.....Rob and Fab were thrown under the bus unfairlly........

It was always interesting to me because Fab and Rob were pretty good. They could have just swept it under the rug like the Ashley Simpson debacle. It was a shame. They may not have performed their songs from that album but they could have, they had boy band talent.

How sadly ironic. He almost desperately tries to overcome his past and 'prove' something by singing/dancing (you hear the effort) while every other pop artist lip syncs today. Add to that - if he DID bust out again he could never keep that up on extended tour.

It is easy for us non artist to say didn't,t they do this or that, but the reality is, you can sing your ass off, but if record companies want something different and you cannot provide then you,re done! These guys got caught up in a stituation that invokes a shit load of money and fame and didn't, think it about the consequences because of the dangling carrot that the record company and the managers were show them. Fab can sine and sadly they or he(fab) wasn't allowed to show his true talent.

I originally saw this song being sang by Brad Howell and John Davis. Also on the song, "Girl you know it's true" - the rapping was done by Charles Shaw. So my point is I tried to imagine Rob and Fab singing - as I listened - and just couldn't. - I often think if Rob and Fab (former models) would have just,"acted" in the video or even just sang back up vocals - it would have been easily successful and cushioned the blow. Great attitude and come back !! I always love your music and it's very entertainig to watch you both you and Rob dancing. You were full of live on the stage. Who cares if you were singing or not. Without you two guys, the songs wouldn't mean much. Just a pitty that Rob is not with you any more or is he...? I'm sure he is our hards and proud of you. @ASBAKUU According to Frank Farian he initially let them audition, but their singing at that time wasn't very good. So he stuck with the session musicians' recordings. But it sounds like Fab has been working really hard at improving his voice over the years. He sounds really good here. I hope things work out for him, because he didn't deserve all the flak that followed the lip-sync scandal.

@MrOxidizer actually this song and this type of music doesn;t show off his voice well at all, callinbg him an average singer is an insult. go listen to his 2002 album "Love Revolution", the boy can sing his ass off. one of the songs, "it's your life" is posted here on youtube, look it up. shows off his singing much better than this 90's pop shit

@DarkenedTheater - this is a two year old video - MJ was gong to appear here. The poster is really a "seat card" indicating the seat where Michael will sit during the show. Evidently all the cards have not yet been placed. Those of you who work in production will know this.

@LadyDazed420 They weren't brothers, just friends, but yes, this is one of the original lipsynchers. He did not sing on the original 1988 release of the song, but he and Rob released their own album in 1993, and he also had a solo album in 2003. This is his real voice - not the voices that were on the Milli Vanilli album.

for me milli vanilli - besides the scandal - was (or better is) one of the top bands around 88-90 - that the two did not use their voices - well, it doesn't matter for me. the songs sounds still great 20 years after. frank farian is one of the top producers worldwide - some say the greatest producer. did you know, that farian produced stevie wonder 'i just call ...' ? or meat loaf?
