However...there was little-to-no whine from the Miller Cycle engine, which was quite a innovative engine, only displacing 2.5 litres IIRC. If Mazda wanted to build a true sport sedan I feel they could definitely do so, but my Millenia was awful, tranny replacement, fuel pump replacement, all sorts of electronic issues...they were wise to kill it.

@LuckyDT You sure it was supercharged S model then ? It has 2.25 liter engine and the whine is very audible... But it was pretty quick for a 15 year old automatic v6 family sedan. I ran even with my friends 2010 mustang v6 until i hit 2nd gear(he has 5-speed), I beat a dodge charger V6 and ran even with some punk in a cobalt ss supercharged(he had the what the fuck face, I thought it was normal cobalt and asked him why he had boost gauges on the a pillar)....

@98MAzdaMilleniaS The Miller Cycle engine is the Millenia S model, SC'd, and that's what I had. There was whine at WOT, but normal around town driving, barely any I found, our definitions on 'loud' and 'not loud' surely vary, and to be fair its been 12 years since. Very innovative, butright engine in wrong car. The Miller in a Miata or hell a Protege would have been brilliant. LOL that we're talking Millenias on a AMG vs M race oh well. Nice bec not many Millenia owners around.

@orochimaruisugly i have a 78 benz 450slc and i never had any problems. 2 of my friends have C-Classes from early 2000 and one of them is sitting in the driveway dead for a year now. the other one need new cams. did a lot of reading and found out that they said that they over engineered their cars that it wouldn't break down. so in the mid 90s they started slacking. 2 of my neighbors had e-classes that had a faulty alarm so they couldn't start their cars up.  just my 2cents.
