I think the nostalgia critic is better than the AVGN, personally. At least if you're talking about recent AVGN episodes.

Have you noticed AVGN's latest video (Spielberg games) he seems really lacklustre.

I enjoy his Cinemassacre movie reviews but I can't help but get this feeling that the Angry Video Game Nerd has run its course.

It's like watching new Charlie Brooker shows. His attitude towards media remains the same but it is all just rehashed material and there is nothing fresh.

I guess there really is a use by date on everything.

@grahamstoner I know what you mean. I still watch his stuff because once in a while he still churns out something astounding, but recently he seems to have been running out of ideas. How he's going to stretch the character out into a movie I have no idea.

I can only see one reason for Rolfe wanting to make an AVGN movie and thats purely for financial gain.

A pet hate of mine is when people go on and on about their favourite artist/musician "selling out". Sure, it ain't a bad thing to make money out of something you enjoy but judging from the latest review even Rolfe looks bored of his own aging shtick.

How many times can one guy say; "I'd rather eat [insert animal name here] shit while [insert another disgusting thing here]!"

@grahamstoner Rolfe's been interested in movies and has made his own movies since he was a child, the AVGN is his chance to make his own proper film. I'd say that's why he's making it.

And? So he is doing it purely for the fans? If that were the case then he would still publish his latest videos on Youtube without having to go to Screw Attack. There's nothing wrong with making money by doing something he enjoys but I still stand by my original statement and that is - his last video was very lack lustre. He looks like he just doesn't enjoy doing the videos and to be honest, if he stopped AVGN and focused on other reviews then that would not be a bad thing.
