you can't reach the right notes for one simples reason...

this music is played -1/2 DADGAD tune (lead guitar) and CACGAC (i think) for the rythm guitar

and the solos are a little bit more complicatede than that

Sounds like it could be easy for me to quickly pickup on. I learn well if I see things like this visually. But I need to take my time and patience with learning how to play the gituar. And yes I'm a newbie!! :) I'm excited! I want this to be like my first major song to learn how to play. And I did hear some things missing, some parts from the intro and I think the outtro too.... If you listen, you can easily hear the strumming pattern. But if you are new to guitar and can't, the pattern is: d, d, d, d, u, d, d, d, d (down and up). Also I believe, you skipped the last part of the intro at the beginning, there is a third, shorter picking sequence. >:[
