  • Looks like crap, but runs like a champ.

  • is that a wheatland model?

  • I own a 100% restored 830 with 10 others and drive them all would that be a rice crope verson?

  • Ya just can't beat the sound of those big JD 2 cyl. diesels. I used to drive my uncle's R years ago and that sound has stayed in my head ever since.

  • cok guzel cooooook

  • What an outstanding tractor! That was the last year (1960) for the two-cylinder engines... Keep on pop-pop-poppin'!!!

  • I would love to have one to work ground with! Neighbors had an R years ago, you could hear them plowing a mile away. Long live the two cylinder Deeres!!

  • wow, what a monster of an engine that is, bet its got loads of torque

  • Hi and thanks for the comment.

I have pulled at this track in second gear in the past. Being that this 830 weighs 12,000 + pounds with me on it and the sled weighs 30,000 + pounds, I literally lugged the engine down to just before stalling. So with this particular pull being the championships, first gear was the only option. =)

  • @5litremania so a 1960 is vintage? i have an all original 1960 ford 601 workmaster. the only thing not original- i correct myself''' is some parts in the distributer and the oil in the crankcase.

  • I believe second gear might have made the 830 show out a little more
