@katie1987xxx no, mechanics should properly torque the lugs to the appropriate spec of the manufacturer. any tighter and you risk the hub coming loose or stripping threads. they don't "put them so tight" unless you just see them using anything other than a torque wrench - which is usually all the time, and you can blame your mechanic for fucking up your hubs. you can thank me later.
