  • Dr wong fe hung used tigercrane as medical treatment exorcise. examp. 4 liver cancer do tiger fire real hard u die fire burnd wood ulcerates the liver. But do water dragon soft twisting of waste increase circulation kiddneys water helps livers wood! Also herbs, foods, streaches, massages acupoints in 5 element treatment!

  • 18 poison hands,18 iorn body, then >18 leapord wood develops liver,18 snake earth develops stomach,18 tiger devlops the heart, 18 crane air develops lung, 18 dragon water develops kiddneys. Foundation chinese medicen. Lam si wings fuhok dosent break down so.

  • then kung fu panda jumps out from nowhere and "skadoosh"

  • Good 5 animal 5 element, high level stuff hung famly wong fe hung not hung gar hung gee gung!!! Came from a doctor not lam si wing pig butcher how lost the 5 elements

  • Sloppy tiger-crane set. Obviously he knows "some" martial arts. He seems to be able to learn the tiger-crane, gut it, then add his own stuff and rename it.

  • Complete knock-off of the tiger crane set.

  • 4:35 sounds as if he likes to kill somebody xD

  • suavidad tension y concentracion muy completo el nivel saludo mos lee venezuela

  • Okay this guy has a big belly and I did the stupid thing and judged him before I saw him move. MISTAKE! Then I forgot that I have a big belly and I can tumble. Living proof that you should not judge a book by its cover and I just did it. Open mouth insert both feet flying drop kick style. TO THE FACE!

  • Guys like this always make me smile.

  • Good Work Master.. good job, vast knowledge.. thank you for this informative vid.. :)

  • At my school we just do all of these forms consecutively and call the whole thing "Tiger Crane".

  • Yes the dragon style looks easier I am going to try it out I know dragon techneghk sorry don't know how to spell that word anyway and the tiger I am going to love kong Fu I've seen alot of people who are to strong

  • why does he look at his hand when he does some of the forms... if he was any situations wouldn't he get hit at those points just because he has that habit??

  • @TheUncle3vil because the form is that way, those steps where he looks to his hand is because those steps are like that

  • check out [ american shaolin wudan jerry cook] he demonstrates over 100 form styles also jerry cook chinese boxing demos 18 budha palm appications forms wood man great stuff for traditonal kung fu

  • I used this video constantly before testing for Black Sash with Master instructor Tom... This is a great video. GM Jerry Cook is an encyclopedia of martial arts.

  • @tashermdog did i hear that right? cook? the tulsa cook?

  • I really enjoyed watching this - I don't know off hand a single other martial artist that I know personally, who could name the techniques that quickly as they were doing them. This man knows his stuff.

  • I have personally trained with Te-Ching Jerry Cook and what most of you that are dismissing him do not understand is that he has a massive amount of knowledge about multiple arts and his precision and capabilities are amazing. He's a great teacher and a great martial artist. Also, going full power and full speed while trying to explain the forms, techniques, or applications,...freakin' difficult.

  • @kenpolove I concur. Jerry is so freakin knowledgeable. He has done many great seminars for my former company. His knowledge is very broad. What I love about Jerry is I run into him all the time and he always GIVES me a gift of a DVD or book or sends a video to my phone, he is very generous with his knowledge. And.... He is ego free.

  • I can't even follow his movements trough a dam video.... I am sure there is no way I could even count on my reflexes ( they are semi-good) in a sparring, let alone a fight. A true master indeed.

  • Nan Quan inspiried by one of the many Southern style include Hung Style

  • on you tube - american shaolin wudan jerry cook - there is over 100 traditonal kung fu forms he documents

  • its alot of movements - need something practical and quick

  • I have a question for Jerry Cook.

Firstly thankyou very much for uploading these videos Sifu.

I have studied some Hung gar and i wanted to ask if ALL of the moves of the FIve animals Five elements appear in the Tiger/Crane set or is it mostly a culmination of these moves and the Poison Hands and Iron Body?

Trivial question maybe but if you get any chance would apreciate it.

  • great man

  • calling out the moves and performing them is a good way to remember how to do it

  • Give him his due. He must be in pretty good shape to be able to keep gabbing all the way through those forms.

  • is ther another name for that iron body that second thing he did? i thought it was nan chuan

  • Thank you so much for this video. It was what I needed.

  • yes the sounds are very important part of the gastual lotus breathing system hard exhale during impact soft blocking as u forcibly exhaile u suden stop forceing air in blood giving more energy combing mucle group 4 power. there r 5 healing sounds that relat 2 element & organ.also develops timing & mental aplication. stops u from holding ur breath so mind breath & body move together. jc

  • Do the sounds he make have anything to do with the style :D? Lolololollololol Ninja Noises!!!

  • jerry cook is a colector of traditonal 108 styles you-tube jerry cook northern shaolin longfist is the northern counter part to this southern form. the site official black dragon fighting society . com/members.html press name jerry cook in purple has him demonstrating 300 forms

  • lol

  • @scienceofseth iv tryed posting a deeper explanation but i suck at the computer & hands r a little stiff from woodman and the brain from the 60s & 70s dosent seem 2 b posting?

  • in this style it starts with basics 18 poison hands 9 hard yang 9 soft yin blocks & atacks on both sides. tec the first 9 hard attacts strike agenst the attack using acupoints deprimental to pericardeum. next 9 work with the attack using preshure points eye trought si17 st9 li16 rn23 etc. this gives u a foundation to build on in the next 18 form iron body and continues from begening threw advanced in order lepord snake tiger crane & dragon each animal also builds element exersises cool stuff

  • poison hands look weird, i think hed be better just doing the salute in the fight. that looks more effective haha, everything else looks great though! especially tiger

  • hung famly wong fe hung and hungar hung gee gung are a little diffrent this hung famly system is in acordance to the 5 animal 5 element as a creative distructive and asisting cycle of chinese medicine combat and health and is in many kungfu styles usualy determand by the siutation or opening if you know the poems thay refer to 108 watermargon herros and the animals combining the best 18 tec of 7 systems

  • when you do the horse stance isn't your toes suppose to point out not inside?

  • but you can definetly say that if your're asian you're better than everyone at everything

  • really, nice form post more vids

  • i have zero idea if this guy is any good or not, but i like the way he explains things, and the fact that i don't see any f'ing cocky bullshit in his demeanor.

    i hate that stuff. it's a disgrace.....that cocky "i'm so great" bullshit.

  • i could have sworn he got that uniform from party city

  • No stances, no power, this guy is ridiculous. He is good for Tai Chi, not for Hung Gar.

  • This is ridiculous. I've been doing Hung Family Boxing for 25 yrs and never have I seen such a mess. Doing Tiger/Crane section and calling it Five Animals. Also he is calling the wrong animals during his display. The section he calls leopard is not. The dragon section is not, the white crane is not. This is just plan horrible. Search for true Hung Family boxers and you will see that this is a bunch of BS.

  • cool

  • this guy makes awesome kung fu sound dorky

  • excellent, saved it to my favorites.

  • i can see him becoming my tearcher one day does anyone know

    where he is located

  • bu hareketlerle dayak yersin dede

  • you have great form, where did you train? or should i ask who was your master? great vid, 5/5

  • the majority of what this guy is doing is fu hok(tiger, crane) from the hung system. specially the first two parts. his kung fu is very good. any more vids on this i like to see the suttle differences in the forms of the same style.

  • I would like a explanation please on the 5 animal and 5 element form (after iron body) that you are doing. "Dragon holds the ball, splashing palm pounding wave" That looks like Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan. Hold the ball, snake creeps down and Fair Lady Weaves with the Shuttle. Are these traditional movements or are they modified by You? No disrespect, just very curious. Your movement and demonstration is very excellent. Thank You.

  • lol reminds me of hak foo from jackie chan adventures. a name for every movement .

no offense meant. just something i remembered from my childhood

  • i was thinking the same thing when i was watching this hahaha

  • Yeah this was awesome but I can understand why some people say people shouldn't post videos like this cuz other people can learn these forms without the proper guidance and get themselves beaten up cuz of false showing off. Sifu Cook seems to be more than good enough to not have to post videos of himself to get students to come to his school. I'd learn from him hands down. But that's just me.

  • its funny the way chinese is translate into eng on kung fu haha

  • silent i already told you why i didn't post a video...

read between lines, gung fu is a discipline you must respect, and theres no point in posting a video and let somebody learn those things without a guide cause in every move done there is something to talk about, so for respecting gung fu that's why....

the chi gung or qi gong in gung fu tradition is almost the half of the training, and sound are a big component

  • wow.... the poison hands and iron body look very very similar to the 5 animals system i train in!

    naomichan95

  • iron body is awesome

  • failx15710289673890467814367

  • lol,u din even zha ma bu.dun spoil the chinese martial arts leh u ang mohs...

  • master jerry.... come on.....

no way this is not the even close to the way it has to be performed.....

    sounds are a mess....

the position of the snake on the legs its not have been done not even one time right....

    please....

  • @xansheng Where is your video showing how it's done? Why do the sounds matter?

  • i care because we are talking about kung fu and if you are a praticer of any level, you owe respect ti it, that's it, and if you respect it you don't go around posting videos trying to show peapole wrong things.

Sounds matter of course, if you don't know why, study gung fu.

  • You didn't add the video link of you doing it "correctly". It's one thing to tell someone that they're doing it wrong, but without something to substantiate that claim or evidence to support your accusation, it just sounds like trolling. Even a link to a video showing it done 'properly' would be better than nothing.

I do study gungfu. Northern systems make considerably less fuss over the exacts of noises and sounds.

  • Terrible !

  • wonderful!

  • whale form... Whale penis in hidding, whale penis apears!

  • That's a mouthful...

    >_>

  • I found this very informative, and appreciate that Master Cook named each of many moves in the form. That is useful to those learning the form.

Those who berate his kung fu and him personally should look at themselves and sincerely ask what they have accomplished.

    Student of Choy Li Fut.

  • i wanna see this in competition. MMA perhaps?

  • Not a bad idea.

  • @kalagoyu2 If this was in competition it would own nearly all the other styles. If you actually see what each momvent was for and how it worked, you'd see that its just deflecting and striking and putting others down. At best the tiger and crane alone can taken down three people, putting those all together is literally just a slaughter. Watch a video with a guy executing the real moves rather then form to get a better idea.

  • noob.

  • looks like he got a costume from party city and a master title from watching a shitload of old kung fu movies

  • Despite some of the previous comments (some I agree with and others not), this is a rather insightful video and looks great. I'm still relatively a novice in Hung Kuen but I am impressed, whether you're a master or not.

  • Jerry Cook did learn Hung Ga not sure from who, but It kills me that he took the Tiger-Crane Form and made a system from it.

  • I hate how Americans try to be Chinese.. he cant even do horse stance right wtf..i can knock him with one push..from Tai Chi stance..

  • we don't usually fight with horse stands, we only use them to strengthen our legs...

  • If you don't know how to fight out of your horse, then you don't know your gungfu. Period.

  • Well, we can fight in horse stands, but my sifu discourages this.

  • mine does as well. in a horse stance your balls are just witing to be kicked, and you have a very limited movement speed, even if you do strike harder

  • it would behoove you to get another mic.

  • This guy is able to make kung fu sound boring...

  • pay no attention to negative energy coming from those who have not mastered themself in morals, continue in good spirit despite anything.

  • I like the long names, they describe the movement and make it much easier to remember...like your body is following a story instead of trying to remember 'go here then go there'

  • I wonder if he can mix these moves together according to the battle...not by frames, sets, and order.

  • Jerry you have a great memory and look like you have done this for a long time. Please let go of the external of these forms, just becasue you are a big guy dont let your strength keep you externally focused. I would like to less quantity and more quality. You looked anxious not calm. Best wishes.

  • I liked

  • I'm sorry if this offends anybody, but I can't get used to long ass names for simple techniques. Dragon spits out perl? I understand that names may be hard to create back then, but they are too damn long.

  • that's because they're translated. They don't have that many syllables in the original language

  • you look like one of those who dnt fight

  • wow buddy your tiger crane double form is wrong especially your footwork.(not familiar with the other form you did)

i think you need to learn kung fu. it looks like you learned from a video. correct me if im wrong. and by the way how do you practice tiger crane form on a wing chun dumm lol who is your sifu?????????????

  • people who watch this video should keep in mind that he is displaying different types of kata, it's not actual fighting no, in this instance its for show

  • Dragon comes out of the water? How about "My foot kicks deeply into your groin technique?"

  • 1,2, 3, 4, 5,...

они копируют только внешнюю форму, а Духа 5-ти животных там нет.. ему не надо кушать мясо, слишком тяжёлые формы..

  • Я соглашаюсь

  • This is indeed Fu hok Fok Fa Kuen, Hung Gar form.

It is very nice to see a person do the form the same way, but I tend to disagree with the 'over' movement.

I would however teach my students pretty much the same way, as he combines Yin and Yang.

  • this is some interpretation of fu hok, although i'd be more interested in seeing some applications

  • Stupid thought, stupid stereotype. And if he's white? That means he can't fight? We are all humans, whether we might look a little different, skin color and features, it's rude to even think because your black you can't do martial arts, or if your white, you can't fight.

  • @omg9111 truth! this guy is awesome

  • @omg9111 , that is the single most dumbest thing i ever heard. im black and I would bet my bottom dollar that jerry cook would kick both of our asses.

  • @rejihayes I think you're agreeing with me without knowing it. It's mundane and stupid for anyone to presume that just because a martial artist is not Asian, that he is somehow inferior. Just because someone is black, does NOT mean he's born knowing how to fight or that it's just "in him" like a lot of people think today, believe it or not. Look at this guy; He's white, yet, he is a great martial artist. You're confused rejihayes.

  • @omg9111 on that note, just because an instructor is Chinese, doesn't mean he's any good either. It's best to ask where they studied, under whom and for how long.

  • I don't really have a problem with that he's white, it's just that he's a white American dressing like a 16th century buhdist, I don't see the need for it. Wear normal clothes, it just looks like he's trying too hard to put on a show rather than teaching anything in depth.

  • @Oliiiverr I agree, but perhaps were overlooking that he might simply be most comfortable practicing his art in these as opposed to his "normal" clothes.

  • @Oliiiverr Why do you think he should wear normal clothes? He's not doing "normal" things in this vid he's doing kung fu. If you go to work, you wear work clothes. When one goes to bed one wears bed clothes etc. This guy is demonstrating traditional kung fu. That might be why he's wearing traditional clothes relating to his chosen art form. If he were teaching Karate, Judo or Tae Kwon Do, would you tell him not to wear a Gi? Just a thought.

  • First, there is no such thing as 'traditional kung fu clothes' unless you're referring to those of the shaolin temples which is certainly not what he's wearing but kung fu doesn't have any such traditions with clothes and is therefore dissimilar to arts like judo and karate in this respect. These are just traditional clothes of china and the chinese did used to wear this when they went to work lol so it's not appropriate and looks ridiculous when a white american tries to emulate this

  • @Oliiiverr According to professors Kang & Ma, 2 of China's most highly respected martial arts historians, putting myth & legend aside, archeological discoveries give evidence that chinese "wushu" began as military arts (before becoming civil arts) and can be traced back 5000 years. Silk production has a history going back 3000 years and was used to manufacture Wushu (or Kung fu in cantonese) uniform designed to protect the kung fu or military man. Civilians did not wear silk at that time.

  • @omg9111 ikr

  • I study shaolin martial arts and even a simple block will do massive damage to the attacker. Macfriez, you should try to kill this guy with your hands. A gun can kill anyone, but in a regular street fight with no weapons, no regular person would stand a chance and the fight would be over before it began. In my class I tried to stab someone with my training knife and a simple movement had me on the floor facing down wondering what the f**k just happened..

  • @burkehighschool ,

If your in a street fight then its no holds barred, No rules anything can happen. So if your trying to say if your in a fight on the streets an there is no chance of a weapon being put into play then you are wrong. " a simple block will do massive damage to the attacker"in Kung Fu that is not the mentality to be thinking.

  • One thing for sure is that anyone who posts a video will be incredibally criticized. This guy has been practicing for a long time and I bet he could kill most of you critics.

  • Im not a crittic but being a martial artist doesent mean youre inhuman, someone could kill him just as easily in a (real fight) artistic forms dont matter. theres a difference between most martial arts and fighting, , these forms are just plane pretty, not meant to kill or hurt , but before you bash me i do know some martial "arts" are actually fight systems, but most of them are sport, and physcle artforms. But i do agree with you

  • I dont mean to imply that being a martial artist makes one inhuman or that one has to kill or anything like that. On the contrary- I believe one should avoid violence except in cases of necessary self defense. I disagree with you though if you are saying that Shaolin martial arts are just "plain pretty". They were developed for battlefield use and have nothing to do with fighting for sport. The applications are meant to stop someone from attacking you and getting back up.

  • cool. i once learned the ones u call poison hand and iron body from my teacher as one form called hung gar blocking system and still practice it that way. it is nice to finally hear the names for the individual names of the moves for this form

i've known for nine years. please check out my sabre form under `Ian sword'

  • not good at all this guy is stiff

  • oh and u seem to have the balance of a 5 year old.

  • u dont seem to be unified at all and i dont see y u posted this video other than to show off.u noe this is true coz its the truth. i can see =]

  • I always said that the animal forms was the base of kung fu and from it you can progress to a higher and more well rounded marial artist.

  • oh my god...

  • It is so fast, we can follow the moves..

  • he is very bad, no stands

  • amazing

  • this video is very well put together

i would like to see more info about ironbody ..........very well done.!

  • Thanks a lot for posting such a very excellent video and very informative. Very very excellent....Thanks a lot From Kung fu Fanatic

  • Question? Are these animal forms taught in the Hung System as individual forms, and are the ones shown here the whole forms, and are there more forms for the individual animal? Also, why does the Dragon Form have alot of similiar techniques of the tiger?

  • Dragon is a mystical and mythical creature that borrows from all the animals to make up their own fighting style. Because they are mystical and mythical can take any form and any shape. They are not limited like real animals.

  • Agreed, but the dragon was, and still is, a real animal in Chinese mythology! Therefore, when they imitated the animals for fighting movements, they had to imitate the real thing with its spiralling and twisting movements! It is believed in Ancient China that the Dragon was a real creature in the animal kingdom.

  • This is a cut up variation of the Hung Gar form Fu Hok Seung Ying Kuen or Tiger-Crane Double Image form. To answer your question no the form is not taught this way. The sections that he claims to be snake, leopard, and dragon are not considered those animal movements in Hung Gar, nor is the opening considered the 10 poison hands or iron body. The names of some of the movements have been changed to appear to be different animals. In no way should this be considered Hung Gar, just a poor copy.

  • Thank you... for a kyokushin guy as my self I must admit this shit is the bomb...

  • DAMN THIS GUY HAS SOME GRACE!!!

  • Wow, You know I just can't get over the fact that you took a form (Tiger-Crane)that took me a yr to learn and created an entire system from it, That's impressive.

  • Thank You for these demonstrations! Please Upload more to help your fellow Shaolin Brethren!

  • Exceptional!

  • wow

  • Oriental cultures rule!

They respected the nature and admired the animals. That's why their fighting styles were influenced by the natural movements of the animals.

  • i have taken kunfu for a while and never seen such magnificent stance and style i would be honored to learn from a master like yourself

  • hi, i'm new to kungfu and am glad to discover this video. Thanks Sifu Jerry. I see your horse stance (and other stances) are solid and good alignment. Can you pls post a short clip on how to align properly? Merry Christmas.

  • Si-gung;

Happy Holidays sir, and thank you, as always, for sharing this and all the other videos.

    Peace.

    David.

  • Si-gung;

Happy Holidays sir! Thank you, as always, for sharing these videos and your knowledge.

    David.

  • A Little different than I study but not bad at all, as long as he understands that its not a dance its a deadly Chinese Martial art known as Hung Gar. Also Dragon is not Fire its water, leopard is metal, Tiger is Fire, Snake is earth, and Crane is wood, this is how I was taught to use the sup ying kuen Skills.

  • ......

  • simply fantastic... a pleasure to watch real kung fu, thank you for sharing. Best wishes to you and your school...

  • i like how he made an entire system of kung fu from the Hung Gar Tiger Crane form, and a little of the Iron Wire form. I am diggen the baqua floor.

  • Mix of Fu Hak Song Ying Kuen and some thing .

  • Thank you for posting

  • that is a Master

  • U're crap

  • were is the Monkey style??

  • The monkey style isn't part of the five animal elements

  • hideing

  • i dont know if its because he's old or what but... i dunno. I wish i had time to learn Hung Gar or Wushu. Wong Fei Hung is my hero :P

  • Nice quick overview demo. Doesn't appear to be a instruction vid.

It's a gread idea to take the form down into smaller sections/sets.

Actually the material used to create most of the WFH Hung Ga was assembled by WFH from quite a few smaller sets.

Classical Southern Style sets are predominatly short. Take a look at Black Tiger, Dragon, 5 Ancestor or even Wing Chun.

Just enjoy it for what it is, jeesh

Eagle Claw Kung Fu Society Forumco

  • For doing southern methods, his stances are very weak.

  • why are all these "masters"

    fat old white guys -.-

  • LOL yep y o-o;

  • This is a very good video!

  • true a lot did come from hung gar but at the same time i would like to know how the dragon moves develop the kidneys?

  • this is a training video ,he is showing the uper-body moves so he is doing it slow for others to see ,though i would like to see the stances to go with the form.

  • He says it is hung gar, he just got the 5 elements/animals wrong.

  • And the tiger form has a 5 or 6 movement chunk that is taken directly from Tiger/Crane again, without changing any part at all. These are signature form movements that come from one of kung fu's most widely known form.

  • LOL what a load of crap, his leopard form is part of the the first few sections of Tiger/Crane from Hung Gar, no changes in movements at all, just pulled right out of it, WOW! Sorry if this comes across as rude.

  • starts really simular to wing chun

  • guess why its wing chund kung fu....^^

  • Very nice, Just awsome.

  • I've been doing Hung Gar for 15 years and that's awesome how tiger & crane was broken down into 5 animals and how the names translate! So cool!

  • yeah i know.. love the how he explains the techniques hehe ^^ so stylish he he.

  • It sounds like your chi isn't moving properly when you're doing your forms. Be careful.

  • oh wow dude with the way your feet are you would be easily beat by a four year old with rudamentary skills.

    how bo
