A similar style of engine, knows as the McCulloch Balanced piston engine, has been implemented into working service before... 'Echo' used it in a small number of their earlier chainsaw designs, allowing them to have an operating 77cc saw with the dimensions of a 34cc one. They are a little bigger on top to allow for the carbie and air filter, but they rev like mad. The second, reverse cylinder came down below the rear hand-piece. There are videos on here of them I think?
That is a stupid question made by an obviously ignorant person. Do you see it on a car? How can he know the MPG? And you wouldn't know what to do with the Hp numbers if they were handed to you. LOL
"...That is a stupid question...Do you see it on a car...." Well, argue for more caution, who has no home in the technical world. An example is the brilliant Polish JJS2. You missed something "Mr obviously ignorant person" ? What do you think the TV engine? I guess you know that it was the first, and then came to Bourke. The Hungarian technical genius is built this engine, as no one was able ever since. Show more respect for others. The civilized dialogue is non carcinogenic....
I would love to learn more about this engine. I have been watching the development of the OPOC engine, the MYT engine and the Revetec Engine. So far the Bourke engine seems to have the simplest and most practical design. I haven't found out why it never caught on. Can you provide some more information or contact info for the guy who has the working engine in this video?

this engine if made a 4 cylinder should be able to power an automobile.
MacGyver0076 1 year ago
What kind of power is that thing putting out?
adamslurch71 1 year ago
would this power plant be sufficiently fuel efficient, light enough and safe/dependable enough to operate an ultralight or other aircraft?

No- it has to be MUCH LOUDER and disrespectful and leak oil to compete with Harley. ROFL.
waterfordjim 2 years ago
@waterfordjim it also has to break down after 2 minutes which in this video it clearly did not. terrible substitute for a harely engine
