Saw something exactly like this over Fort Carson in Colorado Springs a couple years back, I thought it was flares at first as well. Did not see a white light just the red ones but they where coming out of a cloud it was just starting to get dark, gave me chills.

I seen the same thing also a few years back, you say flares and thats what I saw but the flare was another ship that shot out of a larger craft and then it flew off. Excaclty like in this video as it came down. What I saw was over Lake Erie in Ont. Can. It was amazing to see.
