  • Wow, I wonder how many of these people are now regretting their "I'm for Obama" comments. And I find it awfully strange that in a county that voted 70% for John McCain 4 out of 7 people in this video said they were voting for Obama. Based on the comments below, it's quite clear that an awful lot of people do not understand how their own country works. Some of you people need to look in the mirror before you post. Really.

  • In a time when "CEO" is a 3 letter bad word, David Singer CEO of Lance Inc. needs to be recognized for his leadership by his example. This is the action that cannot go unrewarded. I am hoping there will be a ground swell of action from America to come and support this company for what they have done. To show that if you "do the right thing" you will be rewarded. I too will be ordering cases of Archway cookies to send out to the troops, hospitals, nursing homes, and schools.

  • There is a good ending to the closing of Archway Cookie Bakery. Lance, Inc bought out Archway cookies and has since repopened this bakery and hire back some of the workers, at their original rate of pay and even retained their senority.

  • Not a bad video, but just so you know, the sign in that window that says: "Save Old Ashland" has nothing to do with the economy. It was made up to protest the demolition of a historic house in a historic section of Ashland. It was posted by a number of preservation-minded people.

  • ugghhh....abortion voters. Is there a bigger waste of time? maybe progressives that still vote democrap. Tools and fools. scamps and cramps. loose lucy.

  • Lol abortion issues? There's more important issues like your own local economy so you can pay bills or any debts.

  • the abortion issue? the president has no part in that issue.

  • Fact is there are a lot of people, on all sides, who vote for incredibly stupid and/or ill-informed reasons.

  • true

  • yup your right!! just like voteing for obama because he's younger right....

  • Yikes. Some of the reasoning these people have are just frightening. The guy that can't get passed the abortion issue: You are living paycheck to paycheck and you are worried about abortion? I don't think the "hope" candidate is a panacea, but is that the main issue in his life?

  • lol!!!!!

  • For some people, principles are more important than life itself. You would be mistaken to think that everyone is like you.

  • I never thought nor was I implying that everyone should think like me. Everyone has their own beliefs and priorities. But can you feed and clothe yourself and your family on principles?

    Peace

  • Is there any point in feeding and clothing yourself if you live without principles? For a large number of people in the world, the answer is a resounding 'No'.

  • For the love of God.....

"I can't get past the abortion issue."

    "He should salute the flag."

Why can't people base their vote on things that matter? That's a big part of the reason this country's going down the toilet. So many people get hung up on things that don't matter, and ignore important issues.

  • murdering children doesn't matter? clearly you have different priorities about "what matters".

  • Why bring unwanted children into the world? I would rather be dead than living in poverty.

  • I'm personally pro-life myself, but there are about a thousand other issues facing the country right now that are of greater urgency.

  • ALOT of differing opinions amongst the Walmart Whales....c'mon Obama!

  • "He should've saluted to the flag"

    Wow, some peoples have problems..

  • If you do not have respect for the country, why should you be allowed to run for president? She has a good point.

  • Having respect for the country is about more than saluting the flag. Any two faced schmuck can do that.

Respecting the country is about listening to the American People, their problems and concerns. Rather than continuing with policies which hurt average Americans and smaller businesses, but benefit those big CEOs and corporate lobbyists.

  • Right. I think that's the reasonable response here. A staple of McCain's campaign, and of the Bush administration, has been to present gestures of Americanism, but to fail to actually enact policies that are in Americans' best interests. We probably don't need to look any further than Joe the Plumber to confirm that.
