Half Blood Prince is my favorite. I never get the "it's not like the book" complaints. To me, the fact that it isn't 100% like the book makes it succeed as a film. But honestly? It's still pretty damn close.

If I wanted to see every scene word-for-word, I would just read the book. Sure, the Harry Potter fan in me might get a little peeved that they left this-or-that out, but the cinema fan in me constantly jizzes over the visual perfection of this movie.

It's "based on the book", it's not the book in movie form word for word. The directors were smart enough to realise it would be crap if it was like that. Who cares about Bill and Charlie? They weren't in the fourth film either. They changed a lot of the fourth film and it's a lot better than the book because there's no bloody annoying house elves in it. And yes, JK is a "terrible" author, it "is" true.

The battle was alright, I give her that, but trust me, you do NOT want me to start a rant about JKR and her numerous fails in writing Harry Potter, it will eventually drive you insane. On a plus side, this is definitely the best of the movies so far. You have to take into account the directing skill, how much better the acting is, special effects and the scene with Dumbledore in the cave lol. (and his death, of course).

to those who haven'r read the book, well the harry potter's has been keeping an eye to malfoy, then he is trying to extract the memory out of slughorn(the most important according to dumbledore), slughorn is the new potions teacher, harry was accepted to his class since slughorn admits students who have EE ranks rather than outstanding only, harry borrowed a book to slughorn, which is the book used by the half blood prince, w/c is excells in potion, and eventually known as snape in the end :-)

See, I love the Harry Potter series and often dislike how the series is portrayed, as well as misconstrued, in the Warner Brothers movies. In my honest opinion, if you want entertainment that pertains to Harry Potter, you certainly should read the books before watching the movies. Then again, you'll probably be distracted by your complaints during the movies, but, while reading the books, you'll certainly enjoy yourself more than you will by watching the movies.
