  • being a pipefitter i had the same idea.2"cap end drilled with 16 1.5mm holes around the sides.on the inside i slid in a piece of 2"pipe which had slots in it cut with an angle grinder with a cutting disc.what was left of the copper end was pushed inwards to form a tapered end.so it was like inverting the neck of a bottle into the cap end.it burns well.its an indestructible side burner that weighs a ton!to be fair yours probaly works just as good.

  • @hydraman5 I'd love to see a video of it!

  • What does this Bad Boy weigh in at? I love the idea, would take a lot to bust this one up while out! Stepping on it might just make it mad being it is so tough! LOL

  • The video states the holes are 3/4 inches. Did you mean 3/8 inch?

  • Holy Smoke! I messed up!

The holes are 1/4" in size.

  • Thanks, I filled it with propane instead of butane, and it works much better!

  • Yeah, but it was a good experiment based on how SGT Rock uses brass.

And, we found that copper is an even better heat conductor than brass, and tried several stove experiments using it.

  • Well its not a cheap stove or lite weight. These super cat stoves there is no rules or size holes they just work.
