i'm korean, and it doesn't matter who won. all i know is that the WBC allows ASIAN players (usually from korean and japan) to really showcase their skills in a tournament that pretty much everyone watches. i think that's good cause then more asians can be scouted into the MLB.. isn't that everyone's dream when they play baseball for a living?

Korea is good, but they don't have skilled enough players to surpass japan. Korean managers even said so in the past 2009 WBC. Saying that the times they beat Japan earlier in the WBC, they said they were amazed because Japan overall has more skill.
But in the end still lost for the championships. None the less, Korea will never make it too far as long as Japan and Cuba stay competitive.
