Sopranos sing more in their head voices whereas Mezzo-soprano sing in middle voice. If Mariah Carey is a high voice and Toni Braxton is low voice, mezzo-sopranos are in the middle - can only go so high and so low.

Kelly sang her butt off...wow! She's come so far as a vocalist now that she's getting some real experience leading/in the solo spotlight. I always knew it was in her it was mainly lack of confidence and experience. Everyone knows how much b has grown from dc's debut to now...that was all the experience she had leading and growing. This is easily in the list of top anthems sung live. Trumps many of the bigger diva versions.

Well...some would disagree that her career wasn't too bad w/ Matthew - her debut did decent. But I do agree w/ you. I'm not sure what he issue was, of course it all can't be blamed on him, but it was obvious the effort put into his daughters (one successful, the other less successful than Kelly), but not so much into the other girls. I think this new era of hers will be her shining hour. I really do hope she gets the recognition she deserves. AND i'm so looking forward to a new DC album.

FINALLY, Somebody that understands real music, yes Kelly music is lightyears better, that Real RnB music that is slowely coming back thanks to Kelz and others liek Brandy, Jazmine S. ect. Beyonce music is so repeditive, it sound exactly the same, no growth, no emotion or deoth, just a song sang so it can be a hit.
