That ferret is looking for a way to kill and eat that hedgehog. I'm not at all joking. Also, that ferret is ill and shouldn't be around other healthy animals (even ones he plans on eating some day). And by the way, that hedgehog is nearly frightened to death. This is an example of why some people should not be pet owners.
Not all ferrets who lose the fur on there tails have adrenal, do your damn research, its obvious that he just has rat tail, black heads on the tail, which is also easily fixed by using black head remover scrub washes. If this ferret had adrenal then he would likely be much skinner, losing hair closer towards his rump and lethargic
the ferret is getting adrenal disease that's why its losing its hair on the tail. you must get it off kibble (carb-based food). ferret's are true carnivores and can't digest carbohydrates. you must feed it a biologically appropriate raw food diet. otherwise it will develop insulinoma (pancreatic cancer).
The hedgehog's not that big for its type - its a European hedgehog, not an African hedgehog as are most that you'd see videos of. I don't think the European ones are as common as pets as their smaller African cousins.
Theres something wrong with that ferret. First of all what is up with its tail? did it get chewed off or something? And it seems either lethargic or otherwise really sick by the way its walking. Its not playing or bouncing or anything. And that is a very large hedgehog..interesting.
@SlenderTroll Agreed. Wish my family had realized that years ago, 2 of our fuzzbuts have adrenal disease now. :( I tried to explain this to my parents, but placement of the cage was not my decision to make.
@DakotahWearsPrada182 Not necessarily. This only occurs if the ferret is exposed to too much artificial light- this is adrenal disease. Because my ferrets sleep in the livign room w/ no artificial lights interfering w/ their schedule, thy are at a lower risk.
Now imagine if you were just walking through your house and saw a big moving spike ball. THAT'S creepy. And that is the biggest hedgehog I've ever seen....
european hedgehogs are big. They eat frogs and snakes

Your ferret has adrenal disease as well as a neurological disorder. Why would you try to introduce it to a hedgehog? Stupid people, stupid video.

@SlenderTroll I'm guessing adrenal disease?
ObeyTheSnarf 10 months ago
@ObeyTheSnarf That's why it's always better to keep your ferrets away from artificial lights during their in-cage hours.

@SlenderTroll I think their flea problem is that bad its ruining the fur on the ferret's tail.

@SlenderTroll Has a simple case of What we call, Rat tail. Happens when seasons change
SqueedooLaDuh 2 months ago
@SlenderTroll When ferrets get upset their tails go "bottle brush" and fan out to show aggravation (or fear). It's a self-defense thing.
andkevinsaidFTW 2 months ago
@SlenderTroll its called rat tail or something like that and it jsut means the tail starts to lose all the hair... and then looks like a rat tail :P
