@RERILICRI I am going to take a look at yours take a look at mine ... "the clays" . This video really shows what can be done with these programs and they only get better! Thumbs up!
adrimity (2 months ago) said: "u know u could just download 3ds max for free..." it's just a trial version like all others. There is a free Vue 8 ("Vue Pioneer is actually free, not trial) but unless it's just for newbies or just playing around since the more sophisticated rendering requires additional modules. In that case, it's more cost effective to buy the various higher end versions of Vue that come with modules than buying one module at a time.
Vue is a software, created by E-On Software. It simulates awesome environment and realist design. Really hard to explain, should look it up on Google!
with the xStream version you can import Vue terrain models and projects to multiple programs..3dsMax, Maya, lightwave for rendering, and the new Vue 8 supports more i think. you can download the PLE for free and it doesn't have much restrictions, just to get an idea of what its all about.
Worth noting though that the export to 3ds max is not the best in the world, it takes a long time and the results are in my experience nothing compared to what vue can render on its own.
ooh man this really looks nice i like the airplains thats you used ^^ it will take me a while before i will be that far to animate and all the other futures where i don't know about yet haha
today is my first dai uning vue an i think it is rlly rlly easy to use. but i have a question, how can i create forests quikly? it is rlly dificult to plant a tree cause u havnt got any reference like use hiden line removl or snything similar. i wish u help me thx :)
use the ecosystem painter rather than single placement, this gets them on line of the terrain and theres no end of things you can tweak, have a look at the geekatplay turtorials on ecosystems (google it) :)
I have a lot of questions i really want the program can you please tell me every thing it can do. I have a progream for video editor but its not good like adobe after effects. BUT can you tell me every thing the program can do. Do you need to use 3ds max, or after effects to do any thing? please
The program can do alot without 3ds max but some good editing software is needed. Windows movie maker would work but something like adobe premier is ideal. As for everything it can do i suggest you look on here, most of the videos in my related videos look like just vue has been used :)
Really impressive!!! Could you tell me how long are you using 3D apps ? I wish I could be your associate or at least apprentice :). You know I am completely new to the world of Vue (sounds kinda nice, doesn't it :D ? ) and I'm trying to master it. I actually discovered it thru AE, which I hope will help me at some point. I am really looking forward to see your new work.
Ive been using 3d apps for 1 or 2 years, i started with vue and now use 3ds max. 3ds max is nice but it doesnt make good landscapes like vue. If by AE you mean After Effects i have been using that (rather unsuccessfully) for a long time too. Id be more than happy to work with you and teach you anything i know :)
Being new to this, I really like what you have done. I really, really, really want that vue 7 Estreme, but don't know how I could ever get the money to get one...:(
did you render in 3ds max using mental ray? did you import the max models into vue or did you just composite them all later in aftereffects or something
It was a while ago, this city scape was actually the second version, the original was a living city, not sure why i didnt include it. But i think it took maybe 4 hours to render on an i7 920.
hey, great job buddy! When you imported the models from Max to Vue, did each model preserve the textures that you assigned to them in max? I shall be using this workflow as soon as I have got to grips with Vue, im quite comfortable with max so far! :)
good renders! I started work with Vue and poser too. take a look in my project if you had a sec!..

loving cinema 4d currently, vue integration is pretty cool. It just takes so long to render, but so worth it!

All rendered inside Vue itself.
